Experience: 2–3 Years | Advertising Agency
About the Role
We're looking for an organized, proactive and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of advertising agency experience who has built a strong foundation in account management and is ready to take on more ownership of client relationships, projects and day-to-day account responsibilities.
As an Account Executive, you'll often serve as a key connection between our clients and internal teams, helping bring integrated marketing campaigns to life across digital, social, creative, media and traditional advertising. You'll work closely with account leadership, strategists, creatives and media teams to keep projects moving, deliver great work and ensure our clients feel confident in our partnership.
We're looking for someone who can balance the details with the bigger picture, anticipate needs, solve problems and confidently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Account Management
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships and maintaining consistent communication.
- Support account leadership in managing client expectations, priorities and deliverables.
- Lead day-to-day client communications, status updates, meeting agendas, notes and follow-ups.
- Develop a strong understanding of each client's business, brand, industry, audience and marketing objectives.
- Proactively identify client needs, potential challenges and opportunities to improve our work.
Project & Campaign Management
- Manage projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring timelines, deliverables, approvals and expectations are clearly communicated.
- Coordinate with creative, strategy, social, digital and media teams to keep projects on track.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, status reports, creative briefs and other key account documentation.
- Manage internal and external review processes, consolidate feedback and communicate clear next steps.
- Monitor project scope, timelines and budgets, flagging potential issues before they become problems.
- Ensure all deliverables meet client expectations, brand standards and agency quality standards.
Campaign Execution & Strategy Support
- Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate client objectives into actionable briefs and deliverables.
- Participate in brainstorms, campaign planning and strategic discussions, bringing ideas and insights to the table.
- Assist with campaign reporting, performance recaps and client presentations.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging platforms and marketing best practices to help identify opportunities for clients.
Internal Collaboration
- Act as a reliable connection between clients and internal agency teams.
- Clearly communicate project goals, priorities, deadlines and feedback.
- Help keep teams organized, accountable and aligned on next steps.
- Take ownership of day-to-day challenges and work collaboratively to find solutions.
- Support senior account team members with account planning, presentations and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- 2–3 years of experience in account management, preferably within an advertising, creative or integrated marketing agency.
- Experience as an Assistant Account Executive, Account Coordinator or similar client service role.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence communicating directly with clients and collaborating across internal teams.
- A solid understanding of digital marketing, social media, creative development and integrated advertising campaigns.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.
- Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office; experience with agency project management platforms is a plus.
What Sets You Apart
- You're ready to take the next step in your agency career and own more of the day-to-day account relationship.
- You don't just track deadlines. You anticipate what needs to happen next.
- You can confidently communicate with clients while knowing when to bring in account leadership.
- You're comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions and contributing ideas.
- You understand how creative, strategy, media and account management work together.
- You take pride in the details but understand how your work contributes to larger client goals.
- You're a team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means becoming a trusted day-to-day partner for both clients and internal teams. You'll independently manage projects, keep work moving forward, communicate confidently and help deliver thoughtful, effective marketing solutions.
