As an integral member of our Enterprise Marketing team, you will lead and ensure that our website (www.restaurant.org) aligns with organizational goals, engages, and educates members, and provides for an overall positive, compelling, and user-friendly experience.

Ideal candidates bring an insatiable curiosity, with proven understanding of the nuances of digital audiences, creating campaigns and managing deliverables. Must have experience with Kentico and WordPress, and other content management systems, as well as proven understanding and application of SEO best practices, and web analytic tools. Proficiency with Photoshop, and basic HTML or CSS skills highly desirable. You will thrive in this role if you are a passionate textual and visual storyteller, who brings a creative, collaborative and client service-driven mindset.

Position operates out of our Chicago office, with a required three days onsite, Monday – Wednesday with flexibility to work remote on Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities:

Website Strategy & Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the association's website, ensuring content accuracy, freshness, and alignment with brand standards. 
  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to ensure the website serves as an effective hub for marketing initiatives. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, membership, and communications, to align website content with organizational initiatives. 
  • Establish and enforce governance policies for website content, collaborating with various departments to ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.

Website Design & Maintenance

  • Analyze user behavior and feedback to identify areas for improvement in website functionality and user experience. 
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement enhancements that elevate the overall user experience. 
  • Responsible for designing and building pages.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Performance Optimization

  • Manage SEO research and meta tag optimization through keyword assessment, direction, and positioning. 
  • Implement SEO best practices to optimize website content for search engines. 
  • Maintain Google Analytics accounts, link management, URL structure, and listings association with Google.

Web Analytics & Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Utilize web analytics tools to track and analyze website performance metrics. 
  • Generate regular reports on website traffic, user engagement, and conversion rates, providing insights for optimization. 
  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor website performance, track user behavior, and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.

Digital Marketing & Campaign Tracking

  • Manage tag and tracking codes for digital campaigns in partnership with a digital marketing agency. 
  • Lead education efforts to keep content and marketing teams informed on how digital practices impact their work and make recommendations to stay current with digital marketing trends.

Technical Collaboration & Web Development

  • Collaborate with the Technology department for technical resources, development, and user experience enhancements. 
  • Stay informed about emerging web technologies and make recommendations for implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related certification in Marketing/Digital Marketing. 
  • 5+ years of experience, or combined education and experience, in B2B content, in-bound and/or digital marketing. 
  • Experience with Kentico or other content management platforms. 
  • Proficient with leveraging SEO/SEM in key messaging. 
  • Experience with, or aptitude and willingness to learn, web-based platforms for media management including Google Analytics, Pardot, Hubspot, or others. 
  • Expertise in turning complex concepts into digestible, relevant, and accurate digital and visual content. 
  • Passionate about developing and executing digital tactics that connect with an audience. 
  • Self-motivated, creative and curious; a quick learner, and empathetic listener. 
  • An understanding of the principles of visual design. 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with strong project management, organizational and time management skills. 
  • Proven interpersonal, relationship-building and diplomacy skills. 
  • Strong research skills with the ability to identify and vet sources of information. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud. 
  • Experience with HTML or CSS. 
  • Resourceful self-starter with ability to work as part of a team or independently; assumes risk with responsibility. 
  • Flexible and resilient; adaptable to change oriented environment. 
  • Demonstrative abilities in collaborative team building and consensus. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
