AVANT Communications is looking for a Video Specialist to join our world-class marketing team in Chicago! The role is Chicagoland based, and will focus on overall management and production of technical education content for our upcoming e-learning platform, AVANT Academy. Our ideal candidate has an extensive history with the Adobe Creative Suite, can work quickly and precisely to meet deadlines, and remains flexible while juggling multiple projects.

This role will report to our Director of Operations & Shared Services and work alongside the marketing and education teams to execute. We are looking for someone in the Chicagoland area. This is a Hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with our Leader of Market Development and sponsoring vendors to schedule in-person recordings 
  • Edit and assemble video content, including raw footage, audio, sound effects, graphics, and animation, into a cohesive, polished final product, working within Premiere Pro and After Effects for keying, editing, and animating 
  • Maintain a high standard of video quality, ensuring all content is optimized for various platforms (YouTube, social media, internal use, etc.) 
  • Ensure that video content aligns with brand guidelines, tone, and objectives 
  • Work with directors, producers, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines and technical requirements 
  • Ensure the efficient management of video files, organizing assets and maintaining an organized video library 
  • Stay up-to-date with video editing trends, software, and best practices to continually improve the quality of output 
  • Assist with creating motion graphics and special effects, as needed

Requirements:

Proven experience in video development, editing, and design, specifically in applications including:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro 
  • Adobe After Effects 
  • Adobe Illustrator 
  • Adobe Photoshop

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Demonstrated success in team collaboration and independent work with minimal supervision

Ability to work with and direct talent

Familiarity with video-first, mobile-first, and multimodal learning modalities

Understanding of AI-powered education tools is a plus
