Founded in 1975, TEMPO is a professional women's organization that connects its 440+ members who hold CEO, executive and senior leadership positions with one another and the community. Its mission is to further the impact of women leaders in Milwaukee. TEMPO provides members with the opportunity to network with leaders and future leaders and enhance their awareness of issues and trends having an impact on Milwaukee and the business community.
TEMPO serves its diverse membership and community through educational programming, networking opportunities, relationship building, and mentoring, with the goal of empowering women to achieve and sustain leadership roles.
Additionally, founded in 2016 and supported by TEMPO's strong legacy of advancing professional women, Emerging Women Leaders (EWL) is composed of 300+ Milwaukee's rising stars and high-achievers, locally recognized, community-minded changemakers and inclusive up-and-coming leaders.

Position Summary:
TEMPO is looking for a summer Graphic Design & Social Media intern (May-August) to join our talented team of professionals. An ideal candidate has declared a major in graphic design or related field with applicable work samples. This paid part-time (20-25 hours per week) offers a graphic design/social media student the opportunity to build his/her portfolio while creating a diverse range of print and online materials for TEMPO. Under the direction of TEMPO’s VP, Member Engagement & Signature Events, the Graphic Design & Social Media intern is responsible for assisting with creation of marketing materials including and not limited to newsletters, social media posts, e-blasts, signage, event programs, reports and presentation templates.
The candidate must have availability for 20 hours/week during regular office hours (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) Monday-Thursday, and during events that occur outside of these hours as agreed upon (morning and evening). We will work with the intern to set a schedule and divide up the 20 hours each week.
The internship runs throughout the student’s 2024 summer semester (May through August) with start/end date to be discussed.
