Scope of role:

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Strategic Marketing (Clutches & Brakes), the Strategic Marketing Manager will help shape organizational thought leadership in both current and emerging end-markets across key geographic regions. This role will collaborate closely with the business development and product management teams to develop and implement global growth strategies in our strategic markets that deliver unique value propositions and achieve sustained, above-market sales growth.

The Strategic Marketing Manager will help drive global sales growth by providing decisive market-oriented analysis. This role encompasses comprehensive market and competitive intelligence for target industries, identifying market adjacencies, researching market trends and requirements, executing customer segmentation, pinpointing target accounts to support growth initiatives, providing marketing communication leadership and vision including initiating demand creation activities and commercialization actions for new product development, and supporting the strategic planning process.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Driven Strategy

  • Collaborate with business development and product management teams to develop, prioritize, and deploy key growth initiatives within targeted industry segments. 
  • Analyze potential market opportunities in alignment with PM and BDM teams to provide a solid basis for investment decisions. 
  • Develop and maintain unique sources of market intelligence for target industries with support from our research analysts, including segment-specific size, short- and long-term industry trends, technology drivers and potential disruptors, and proxies for leading/lagging indicators. 
  • Direct the development of economic, market, and competitive intelligence analysis in conjunction with PMs and BDMs to support strategic planning initiatives, penetrate new markets, and evaluate the performance of ongoing market growth and share capture initiatives. 
  • Work cross-functionally to support the development of the annual strategic plan.

Market Driven Support & Market Share Capture

  • Develop marketing communication strategies together with the C&B/IPS marketing team to drive growth in targeted global end markets. 
  • Provide marketing leadership focused on customer solutions, driving sales growth through targeted marketing campaigns and collaborate with C&B Marketing and IPS Marketing to launch omni channel campaigns to support division growth initiatives. 
  • Work with analysts to identify new leads and align with PMs to prioritize those leads for global commercial team. 
  • Partner with product management and marketing to create sales enablement tools (training materials, customer presentations, literature, digital tools, etc.) for enhanced customer engagement.

Assist Product Management with Product Portfolio Planning

  • Assist product managers with industry/portfolio analysis so they can maintaining maintain product roadmaps that enhance Regal Rexnord’s competitiveness in target industries. 
  • Work in conjunction with PMs and BDMs to identify market and product/portfolio adjacencies 
  • Support the development of differentiating value propositions for C&B products within vertical market segments. 
  • Collaborate with the product management team to create and execute commercial launch plans and work together to create necessary content to support the launch of new products. 
  • Support PMs to develop a process to execute customer VOC so that we can achieve a deeper understanding of customer needs and decision-making processes. 
  • Maintain M&A target funnels that lead to strategic acquisitions which enhance Regal Rexnord’s industry competitiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of product marketing, product management or business strategy experience in a B2B industrial manufacturing enterprise, preferably with highly engineered products. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in Marketing or Engineering. MBA a plus. 
  • Proven track record of delivering growth though superior strategy building and industrial marketing, and new product commercialization. 
  • Direct experience within any of our targeted vertical markets a plus. such as Mining & Metals, Energy, Marine, Crane & Hoist, Forklift Truck, Farm & Agriculture, Construction, Turf & Garden, Medical, Aerospace.

Skills:

  • Self-Starter: able to work in a non-structured environment while maintaining personal accountability for achieving defined objectives. Strong interpersonal and confident communication skills. 
  • Strong mix of strategic, analytical and tactical skills. 
  • Strong collaboration skills: able to drive action and motivate / influence associates in various positions throughout the organization without direct lines of authority. 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop a strategy where only limited information exists. 
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of abstract and concrete variables and apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical issues. 
  • Ability to effectively utilize market research skills to identify opportunities for growth. 
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%) as required.

Expected Salary:

$79,500 - $124,000 + Benefits. Please note that compensation is based on a variety of factors when extending offer, including but not limited to, the role, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, qualifications, and business considerations.
