Position Summary:

The Senior Graphic Designer will use their technical and design expertise to lead and create impactful marketing and advertising creative for Frandsen Bank & Trust across various graphic assets for use in everything from social media to print advertising.

The designer will effectively and professionally engage with all project stakeholders to maintain strong quality assurance and control across all team deliverables. This role will work under the direction of the Director of Marketing and with the support of a Production Designer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with the Director of Marketing to create a consistent and cohesive brand experience.

  • Develop new visual concepts within our existing visual framework 
  • Own, update and enforce visual style guides for use by product teams and partners 
  • Collaborate across the organization to drive up standards of digital creativity 
  • Maintain brand consistency throughout all our marketing projects 
  • Compile and manage a design style guide to help the team understand the brand guidelines 
  • Maintain asset libraries with current logos, product images, and other brand materials.

Pitch, develop, and deliver new campaign concepts based on marketing strategy and content briefs for local, regional, and company-wide campaigns, leveraging marketing and design best practices and brand guidelines.

Lead and oversee and execute all design projects, from conception to delivery, partnering with the Production Designer to ensure design tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Work efficiently on multiple projects with consistency and exemplary attention to detail. 
  • Prepare press-ready files based on the supplied specifications. 
  • Follow timelines to ensure projects are completed on time. 
  • Ensure proper compliance procedures are followed. 
  • Troubleshoot any problems with local offices and vendors. 
  • Catalog-produced images and graphics. 
  • Maintain communication from project start to finish.

Respond to marketing request forms to support regional and local marketing activations.

Keep up-to-date with graphic design trends, techniques, and software.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, visual arts, design, or a related field

Skills and Experience:

  • Seven years of experience as a graphic designer in an in-house or agency environment 
  • Proven experience developing brand and campaign concepts 
  • Able to generate pixel-perfect production assets to meet print, web, and digital mediums. 
  • Expert-level abilities with Adobe Suite software 
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications 
  • Web design knowledge (HTML, CSS, etc) to create and modify code as needed 
  • Strong typographic and layout skills; 
  • Outstanding organizational, project management, file organization, and archiving skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team 
  • Knowledge of the latest visual elements, fonts, design techniques, and aesthetics.
