Key Responsibilities:
The Specialist - Enterprise Communications is a foundational member of the Consumer PR team, managing and responding to inbound media inquiries, overseeing monitoring/measurement of media coverage, building and maintaining media lists and helping draft briefing documents, key messages and other communications materials for executive leadership. This role will also help provide PR support for many of United’s consumer-facing functions including customer experience, digital technology, network planning and onboard product. This role will proactively pitch news to reporters and will seek and seize opportunities to help secure earned media coverage of United in lifestyle outlets that don’t typically cover the news of an airline.
- Manage all inbound media inquiries to the Consumer PR team, working with the team and United’s subject matter experts on an appropriate response
- Oversee media monitoring/measurement; effectively use our monitoring software to create recap reports for company announcements; report out on KPIs and alert team members to news coverage
- Build and maintain media lists Help draft briefing documents and staff media interviews/events
- Draft/send media pitches and follow up with reporters United values diverse experiences, perspectives, and we encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply.
