Hospice care provides comfort and quality of life for patients with a terminal diagnosis when a cure is no longer an option. The expert St. Croix Hospice team provides specialized care which supports the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of hospice patients, carrying out end-of-life wishes with dignity and respect.

St. Croix Hospice is able to expertly manage and bring comfort care to end-stage diseases, wherever a patient considers home. The hospice team includes physician services, skilled nursing, hospice aides, social work, spiritual care, bereavement, music therapy, massage therapy, pet therapy, volunteers.

Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance. No St. Croix Hospice patient is denied care based on their inability to pay.

This role is remote M-F 8 a.m.-5 p.m. CST. The Social Media Specialist will be part of a collaborative, creative team, and reports to the AVP of Marketing & Communications.

The Social Media Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing brand visibility through strategic content creation and engagement. The role will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to enhance our digital presence, engage communities and potential employees in the brand, educate audiences and drive meaningful interactions across various social media platforms. Expertise in social media management, content creation, and analytics are essential in helping us achieve our marketing and agency objectives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage and lead implementation of social media strategy to ensure alignment with agency goals to build our reputation in the communities we serve. 
  • Support the evolution of social strategy to one that drives employee & community engagement, candidate & patient acquisition, and grows our reputation. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, platform updates, and emerging social media channels to ensure we remain innovative and competitive, staying ahead of the competition in the evolving social media landscape. 
  • Grow agency audience and engagement on existing channels and expand to additional social media platforms. 
  • Identify opportunities to adjust strategy based on changing market factors to further engage with target audiences. 
  • Identify opportunities to connect with partners and industry leaders to build online community, enhance social media presence and grow partnerships. 
  • Plan & develop social media campaigns and content calendar for existing and future social platforms that fulfill social media tactics of annual marketing and communications plans and programs. 
  • Create compelling, engaging, informative and visually appealing content (text, images, videos, etc.) for our social media channels. 
  • Curate user-generated content and collaborate with other teams to gather relevant material for sharing. 
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all social media platforms. 
  • Amplify thought leadership through social channels to build credibility and reputation. 
  • Manage and maintain active profiles on various social media platforms. 
  • Monitor social media accounts, respond to comments, messages, and mentions promptly, and foster a positive online community. 
  • Amplify blog posts and other content sources via appropriate social channels to extend digital footprint. 
  • Schedule and publish content at optimal times to maximize reach and engagement. 
  • Collaborate with internal partners and customers to maximize consistent messaging and content across all communication channels. 
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies, providing regular reports and insights to optimize content and improve overall social media presence.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of proven social media experience (agency experience a plus) with specific experience in managing the day-to-day operations of social media marketing channels. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, digital media, marketing, communications or related field preferred. 
  • Knowledge of social media management tools (Birdeye, Sprinklr, Sprout, Vista Social, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated experience with digital analytics platforms and tools, such as GA4, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Glassdoor Enhanced Profile, Indeed Company Profile, LinkedIn Careers Page Administrator, and Microsoft Excel. 
  • Creative mindset with excellent content creation and storytelling skills. 
  • Results-driven and ability to meet and exceed goals. 
  • Ability to multi-task, focus on priorities and maintain attention to detail. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Prior experience in marketing for a large regional multi-site organization a plus. 
  • Previous experience in healthcare a plus. 
  • Intermediate level Adobe Photoshop helpful.
