Boelter + Lincoln is seeking a Social Media/Public Relations Assistant Account Executive (SM/PR AAE) that is an organized, energetic and persuasive individual who will assist in the execution of client projects. The SM/PR AAE will assist in the creation of social media content for clients (written and visual), the development of website content, new business research, and agency communications and will report to the Director of Public Relations/Social Media.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage social media channels for clients, which includes publishing posts and community management 
  • Create written, video, audio, and visual content for organic social media and content marketing
  • Maintain a strong grasp of all social media platforms utilized by clients (and emerging platforms that clients might want to consider)
  • Research and monitor clients’ business and industry to maintain a current knowledge base
  • Monitor and track social media posts through native social media platforms and 3rd party software such as Sprout Social
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on organic social campaign efforts, including engagement, reach and other ROI metrics
  • Prepare status reports and meeting agendas
  • Assist in research and preparation for new business pitches
  • Organize and implement events and promotions for clients 
  • Able to contact media on behalf of clients 
  • Create client and agency press releases, web content, and other written materials 
  • Renders assistance on special projects, i.e., secondary research, market checks, social media, executive media interviews, etc…

  • Accurate and timely execution of assigned tasks 
  • Cooperative relationships within the office 
  • Understanding of social/interactive marketing and public relations principles 
  • Understanding of client business and the industries they operate in 
  • Maintains positive relationship between agency and clients 
  • Agency commitment: Undertake non-account-related agency tasks/functions for the good of the agency

  • Degree in marketing communications, PR/ad or journalism 
  • 1-2 years of experience in social media/public relations/marketing communications preferred 
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite products 
  • Familiar with Sprout Social, Klear, and Meltwater software (or equivalents) 
  • Familiar with video editing software, such as Adobe Premier Pro 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 
  • Strong writing, editing and research skills; familiar with AP style preferred 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects tasks and deadlines simultaneously 
  • Strategic thinker, able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing 
  • Ambition, desire, and passion to work in social media in an agency environment
