We think creating compelling content on social channels is a terrific way to build that awareness and trust. Visit Brookfield is eager to connect with new audiences and engage our existing base through compelling social media initiatives. We’re seeking a social media manager to help us expand our digital footprint and oversee our social communications efforts. They will develop and implement informed content strategies tailored to the strengths of various social media platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement in all things relating to hospitality and tourism in Brookfield.

Objectives of this role:

  • Increase engagement for existing audiences with high-quality social initiatives
  • Acquire new followers by filling gaps in our marketing content output
  • Align our brand with new and emerging trends
  • Improve ROI through more consistently on-target messaging 
  • Identify emerging social media platforms and channels to expand our brand reach
  • Glean insights from social data using monitoring tools

Responsibilities:

  • Use social media tools to craft and post content to our social channels
  • Develop social media campaigns and a compressive social media content calendar
  • Become an extension of our brand to connect with existing customers, stakeholders, and residents and acquire new followers
  • Analyze the company’s social strategy and continuously improve that strategy 
  • Stay up to date with new and emerging trends to help keep our social media presence consistent and relevant
  • Establish key performance indicators to understand the existing social campaigns and adjust strategy for further optimizations
  • Oversee budgeting, campaign setup, and optimizations of organic and paid social
  • Run our social accounts including Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn and YouTube, and build a highly engaged audience of followers across platforms
  • Use organic social media as a testing ground to find content that resonates with our visitors
  • Create content and posts people want to read and engage with
  • Monitor social media for brand mentions
  • Work with the President/CEO to establish and measure KPIs for the social media strategy 
  • Work with our stakeholders to further their brands and goals 
  • 2+ years of experience in social media management and marketing
  • Associate degree, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build an audience on social platforms
  • Experience creating engaging video content for social
  • Experience using social media tools and content production tools
  • Strong attention to detail - both in numbers and in execution
  • Extensive knowledge of a variety of current social media platforms
  • Excellent problem-solving techniques
  • Strong multitasking capabilities under pressure
  • Clear, confident communication abilities
  • Keen understanding of how to craft effective social media strategies
