This Opportunity:

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Senior Coordinator, Marketing, with an emphasis in content writing and editing, for our Minneapolis, MN office. Be involved in projects with our Strategic Growth Team (SGT) and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact:

  • Supporting the pursuit life-cycle from lead generation and capture planning to proposal development and presentation coaching. 
  • Actively contributing to the development and maintenance of essential marketing data, including resumes, and project descriptions. 
  • Supporting marketing initiatives, as assigned. 
  • Writing organic content about our services, project experience, success stories, etc. to further advance WSP's position in the market place. 
  • Curating compelling content for a variety of components such as conferences and events, social media, notable wins, awards, and pursuits. 
  • Editing existing marketing content that describes various environmental and engineering projects. 
  • Interviewing technical staff to then write new copy that describes the project. 
  • Creating and editing resumes for environmental scientists, engineers, and other technical practitioners 
  • Communicating with technical and marketing staff to obtain missing details for existing content. 
  • Ability to format documents in InDesign is a significant plus.

To get specific, we're looking for a marketer who:

Is a Collaborative and Empathetic Communicator.

As marketers, communication is at the heart of what we do. From the ability to actively participate in proposal kick-off meetings to brainstorming how to turn technical jargon into compelling copy, we're looking for a stellar communicator. Additionally, as this role will interface with a number of unique personalities and perspectives, the right candidate will excel at communicating with empathy.

  • Brings Design Understanding: You don't need a degree in graphic design, but you should bring an understanding of InDesign layout and how to work with a designer to develop compelling graphics that support the value proposition.
  • Is a Proactive Problem Solver: While the pursuit process may remain consistent across various opportunities, we are looking for someone who is excited about leading pursuits and working with the team to pre-position WSP and develop win strategies. Additionally, the right candidate will be able to largely self-direct through the process.
  • Has a Meticulous Eye for Detail that Translates to Compliance, Time Management, and General Organization: To say compliance is critical would be an understatement. Being able to parse the RFQ/P for compliance, as well as read between the lines for messaging is key. Further, managing time, working efficiently to meet deadlines, all while keeping quality top of mind is crucial.
  • Is a Lifelong Learner with an Appetite for Professional Development: We like people with lofty aspirations, a thirst for knowledge, and the gleam of friendly ambition in their eye. The best candidate will not only proactively seek professional development opportunities to up their own game, but will be excited to share their knowledge, expertise, and perspective to help their team grow.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma 
  • 0-3 years’ experience in the same or similar capacity 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications-related software programs is a plus 
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously 
  • Demonstrated experience with print production 
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and demonstrated experience working with proposal layout.
  • Photoshop and Illustrator experience are helpful, too, but not essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Experience in the AEC industry

Expected Salary: $53,500 - $76,560

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
