Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, and we are in search of a Senior Manager Internal Communications which will be based at ourBurnsville, MNoffice. This position plays a critical role in elevating our employee experience to achieve our strategic objectives.
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this role is responsible for driving and executing a comprehensive internal communications strategy that fosters employee engagement, supports organizational change initiatives, and strengthens the company culture. This role involves developing and managing communications across various channels, ensuring that messages are clear, consistent, and aligned with the company's values and objectives.

In this role you will get to:
Strategy Development & Execution:
- Develop and implement an integrated internal communications strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives, culture, and goals.
- Work closely with senior leadership to understand company priorities, key initiatives, and challenges, translating them into compelling communication plans.
- Advise on best practices for internal messaging, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment across all levels of the organization.
Content Creation & Management:
- Create, edit, and oversee internal content, including company-wide announcements, newsletters, email communications, executive messages, and presentations.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure regular, timely, and relevant communication.
- Write and produce internal communications that resonate with diverse employee groups, tailoring content for different audiences and channels (email, intranet, video, etc.).
Leadership Communication:
- Act as a key advisor to senior leaders, coaching them on effective communication strategies and helping them craft messages that engage and motivate employees.
- Facilitate internal town halls, all-hands meetings, leadership communications, and other events that require clear and impactful messaging.
Employee Engagement:
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement through transparent, two-way communication, promoting open dialogue and feedback.
- Conduct surveys, focus groups, and other tools to assess employee sentiment and effectiveness of internal communication strategies.
- Partner with HR to communicate important employee-related initiatives, including benefits, wellness programs, DEI efforts, and organizational changes.
Change Management Communication:
- Partner with leadership and HR to develop and deliver change management communications for organizational transitions, mergers, acquisitions, or restructures.
- Ensure communication is clear, timely, and supports employees through transitions.
- Lead communications strategy, messaging and content development for engagements with newly acquired companies.
Channel Management & Innovation:
- Manage and optimize communication platforms (e.g., intranet, Teams, VivaEngage, etc.) to ensure the company’s communication tools are utilized effectively and remain up-to-date.
- Explore new and innovative communication channels to engage employees, including video, mobile apps, and social media.
- Track communication effectiveness through metrics such as open rates, employee feedback, and engagement levels.
