Senior Graphic Designer

Impact Confections is seeking a Senior Level Graphic Designer. This position will be a full time staff or freelancer that is available to be onsite. The Senior Graphic Designer coordinates and completes all activities in the marketing department. Assists in the development of visual branding strategies, and oversees strategy to ensure brand standard consistency. Leads the development and execution of brand-related packaging, sales collateral and marketing materials. Participates in developing new product ideas and concepts for market introduction. Coordinates with external graphic artists as required.

• Coordinates and completes all art activities in the development of packaging artwork including, but not limited to, product logos, brand color schemes, key element layout, and display layout.
• Executes sales materials and literature as required.
• Assists in show booth graphics, as well as any custom design requirements.
• Develops graphics for web use on and manages company website via content management system 
• Develops trade and consumer advertising materials.
• Develops artwork for premium and give-away consumer items.
• Participates in new product ideation and conceptual development. Formulates concept, renders illustration and detail, and presents designs for review.
• Determines style and technique best suited to produce desired effects.
• Monitors and analyzes new materials, packaging, graphic, and color trends. Develops designs in the most cost-effective manner ensuring compliance with company standards and reproduction requirements.
• Meets with other departments throughout design development and presents alternative designs and/or makes changes as necessary.
• Develops product images including photo taking or renderings.
• Maintains and stores graphics files.
• Prepares files for print. Works with vendors to understand print capabilities and ensure that files are built to meet the needs of the vendor.
• Assists in prototype mockups for sales meetings.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint. Demonstrated expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and In Design. Working knowledge of Dreamweaver and Flash. Ability to learn other application software essential to performing job tasks. Knowledge of Content Management Systems for maintaining website would be helpful.
