We are seeking a strategic Government Affairs Leader (Senior Consultant of External Affairs) to work under the direction of the VP of External Affairs & Sustainability. This role will focus on organizational positioning relevant to legislation and policy impacting Emplify Health, as well as supporting research and outreach for special projects withinGovernmentAffairs.

What you’ll do:

  • Research and Analysis: Conducts and guides research for policy papers, legislative analysis, and special projects. Provides analysis on legislation and regulations impacting Gundersen. 
  • Relationship Management: Develops and manages strategies to build relationships with state and federal officials, agencies, and various stakeholders to increase support for Gundersen. 
  • Outreach and Engagement: Manages outreach programs, public relations events, and strategic plans. Develops effective communication channels with businesses, agencies, and other relevant groups. 
  • Project Management: Plans, coordinates, and executes research projects and special initiatives. Facilitates External Affairs projects and ensures quality documentation and data management. 
  • Strategic Development: Identifies new opportunities for growth, provides innovative ideas and strategies, and monitors opportunities for competitive grant and appropriation funding.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science or Public Policy or Economics or Public Health or a related field 
  • Valid driver’s license. 
  • Ability to qualify as a Register Lobbyist. 
  • Ability to travel 1-2 times per month. Travel expenses reimbursed.
