ABOUT THE ROLE:

Zeno is seeking an experienced Senior Account Supervisor to support and lead clients with corporate reputation strategy and program execution. You will collaborate with the team, provide sound counsel and recommendations to clients, and drive results inclusive of traditional and emerging public relations tactics. You’ll develop a comprehensive understanding of your accounts – their business, products, markets, and industry stakeholders.

The Senior Account Supervisor will work closely with senior-level team members to implement reputation management programs, including global campaign execution and executive visibility and thought leadership, for Zeno clients across the U.S and globally. In addition, the role will include new business proposal development and presentations, as well as the opportunity to contribute to the intellectual capital for the firm. You will be responsible for managing the overall quality of projects and accounts, as well as adherence to budgets. You will work as part of a team on a variety of accounts, in industry sectors such as consumer, technology, professional services and business-to-business, but will be expected to be comfortable leading projects and directing and mentoring staff when appropriate.

You will succeed at Zeno if you are confident, resourceful, tenacious, have an understating of traditional and non-traditional PR tactics and the media landscape, and drive great results for clients while building strong relationships with your clients and your team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead day to day client work to ensure delivery for today and readiness for tomorrow. 
  • Develop media relations strategy and conduct outreach for programs/projects. 
  • Execute national business media relations strategy for programs/projects. 
  • Identify new growth opportunities based on insights into the company, client, industry, and economy. 
  • Lead the client service function for program planning, problem solving and strategic counsel. 
  • Maintain financial responsibility for accounts including forecasting and account profitability. 
  • Provide strategic counsel and guidance to clients, as well as to colleagues in the Zeno network, to ensure success. 
  • Secure, maintain and grow the business. 
  • Understand key client industry issues relating to products, product categories, technologies, primary and potential competition, and general issues facing the industry. 
  • Understand key competitors and their business strategies. 
  • Work across geographies and help shape direction and focus of practice.
  • 8+ years of experience in Corporate PR, previous agency experience. 
  • A history of success in providing sound creative and strategic counsel to clients and building credibility with senior level client contacts. 
  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Collaborative spirit, results driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, creatively, and holistically about client programs. 
  • Excellent writing skills, solid presentation skills, experience developing and delivering client presentations, including new business. 
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of reputation management and a working knowledge of traditional and non-traditional media. A current track record of success in building relationships with national business media and driving results for clients. 
  • Must have a strong background in corporate communications and solid corporate media relations contacts. 
  • Proven leadership experience, mentoring and developing junior talent.
