The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

The Segment Marketer is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies tailored to specific market segments. This role involves conducting market research, identifying target audiences, and creating marketing campaigns that resonate with those segments. The Segment Marketer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and drive business growth.

The segment marketer will work together with the Division activation and product marketers to build integral strategies for segments such as Heavy Manufacturing, Transportation, F&B, Agro Industry, among others.

As a(n) PSD Segment Marketer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand the needs, preferences, and behaviors of target segments.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement marketing strategies that effectively reach and engage target segments.
  • Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and events.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with content creators to develop segment-specific marketing materials, including brochures, emails, social media posts, and advertisements.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze campaign performance data to measure effectiveness and make data-driven decisions for future campaigns.
  • Customer Insights: Gather and analyze customer feedback to refine marketing strategies and improve customer engagement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product development, and other departments to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with business objectives.
  • Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets for assigned segments and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Track and report on the return on investment (ROI) of channel marketing activities.

Your Skills and Expertise:

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Six (6) years relevant sales / Marketing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Broad Industrial knowledge
  • Experience working with Customers, Go to Markets, Distributors, Wholesalers, eCommerce, etc.
  • Proven experience in the generation and execution of Marketing Campaigns.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Strategic Planning: Experience in developing and executing channel marketing strategies and plans.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to measure and optimize the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating marketing materials and presenting to partners.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
