QBP Brands Product Manager III’s main things are excellence in the following areas:
Vision and Strategy* [30%]:
With a clear understanding of industry and consumer trends, set and clearly articulate brand product strategy across multiple brands and/or brand product lines depending on the brand scale
- Lead alignment to brand product vision and product imprint across all PMs who are developing products for the assigned brand(s) or product line(s).
- Deliver market-forward product initiatives that are unique, compelling, desirable for consumers and competitive for retailers
- Proactively manages product lifecycles by aligning knowledge of industry trends with brand sales data and product line priorities
Leadership* [30%]:
Directly manage and develop a team of 3-5 QBP Brands Product Managers and Product Assistants
Mentor, coach, and align product managers on decision-making and initiatives related to their assigned brand(s), product line(s), and projects
- Engage in the development of tools, processes, and practice
- Inform project prioritization and resource allocation across product development teams
Product Development* [30%]:
- Execute upon the product development plan that aligns to business objectives and strategies
- Plan, manage, and coordinate all development projects for the brand(s) or brand product line(s).
- Prioritize brand development projects, own project budget, and manage development resources intra-project
- Collaborate with BKFM Portfolio Director, Category Manager Proprietary Product, sales, marketing, purchasing, and supply chain to establish product margin goals and in-stock dates
- Be responsible for working with Supply Chain, Product Safety and Compliance, and Development Teams to develop and meet expectations for qualification and quality assurance
- Conduct pre-costing and ROI exercises to ensure developments will meet brand margin standards
- Collaborate with Project Management to establish development calendar for planned product projects
- Present key product initiatives to internal and external customers
- Identifies new needs related to product development process, tools, or practice
- Works collaboratively with supply chain on vendor qualifications and vendor selection
- Consistently improve overall product range and individual product details each model year
- Negotiate with potential and existing proprietary and OEM suppliers on behalf of QBP and assigned brand product
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Represent QBP with integrity
