The Proofer/Editor is responsible for the all-inclusive proofing and editing of the Festival Foods marketing communication and is responsible for copywriting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proofread and edit all marketing communication which includes, but is not limited to, weekly circular ads, direct mails, in-store signage, holiday, and seasonal catalogs. 
  • Accountable for the proofing and editing all digital assets. 
  • Provide copywriting as needed. 
  • Maintain the Easy Catalog Master Sheet of all approved after-ad lists. 
  • Oversee the accuracy of all Festival Foods ad lists (grammar, punctuation, price point, note discrepancies, and template discrepancies, etc.). 
  • Maintains and tracks the newspaper ad standards guides. 
  • Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duties satisfactorily.   • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field. 
  • 2-4 years of experience in a copywriting or editing type role. 
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and oral/written communication skills. 
  • Proven examples of strong project management skills in support of communication strategies.
