The Project & Events Intern is responsible for helping with various Chamber projects, including outreach to prospective members, planning Chamber events large and small, assisting with programs such as our Emerging Leaders Program and more.
Responsibilities associated with an internship may include list management, surveying members, member outreach and recruitment, writing projects, event planning, research, and various special projects as needed for the organization.
Qualified interns should:
- Be dependable, detail-oriented, motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
- Have an interest in LGBT issues, nonprofit management, business, and/or communications;
- Have strong writing, researching, and interpersonal skills;
- Have reliable transportation to and from work;
- And be available to work a minimum of 15 hours a week during the semester (schedule is flexible between 9:00am and 5:00pm)
- Additionally, skills in graphic and/or website design and online/social media tool management are a plus, but not required.
