Production Artist

Job Purpose: To “Make Recognition Easy”, by designing text and graphic layouts as requested by customers and then producing the awards by laser engraving, rotary engraving, sand-etching or sublimation. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize CorelDraw (primarily), Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator to adjust customer supplied artwork and text to fit within established art specifications. 
• Use CorelDraw to produce high-quality artwork for our color production sublimation process. 
• Use CorelDraw and Epilog Engraving software to laser engrave a variety of materials. 
• Use Gravograph software for rotary engraving processes. 
• Use sand etching system for deep-etch processes. 
• Balance customer needs and production limitations in adjusting and creating artwork, ideas, and concepts. 
• Be timely in responding to customer questions and reservations about necessary adjustments to customer artwork, ideas, and concepts. 
• Communicate with Sales and Customer Service team members to provide information regarding design projects. 
• Provide and facilitate the sharing of feedback between team members to determine ways of improving the customer experience. 
• Provide creative and viable solutions to any art-related problems that may arise. 
• Proactively communicate any and all artistic possibilities and limitations regarding custom products and customer art during development. 
• Contribute creative & accurate artwork for use in our advertising and other marketing projects. 
• Perform other work as assigned without compromising existing responsibilities.

Knowledge Requirements:

• To be effective, this position requires proficiency in CorelDraw and a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. 
• Knowledge of laser engraving, rotary engraving, sand-etching and sublimation processes preferred but we will train the right person.
