As a product manager, you will be the driving force behind Wacker Neuson America's strategic development and the one-stop-shop for all questions, ideas, suggestions, and requests about our products within the organization.

Accountabilities include:

  • Improve communication and collaboration

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and maintain product marketing content in order to define/communicate product positioning. 
  • Enable the Sales Group with valuable content 
  • Facilitate successful market introductions of products produced by Wacker Neuson Americas Corp.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managerial Functions:

  • Plan, organize, execute and continuously improve department initiatives that align with our company strategy and key performance metrics 
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving to consistently and efficiently make reliable business decisions 
  • Responsible for department budget and effective utilization of resources to achieve maximum results 
  • Responsible for performance management (candid evaluations, constructive feedback, career development, etc.) of all subordinates and maintains accountability for entire team throughout the organization 
  • Ensures an environment that promotes communication, collaboration and accountability with team members, cross functional departments and global colleagues 
  • Leads by example and demonstrates the company's core values of expertise, passion, agility and entrepreneurship 
  • Treats all levels of the organization with respect, honesty, and integrity while supporting diversity, inclusion, compliance, and safety of all employees

Product Promotion:

  • Lead the market introduction process (MIP/ GTM) by being the key contact for all products sold in the Americas and PNA products sold worldwide. 
  • Provide product positioning training, media plan and materials for sales departments and customer service. 
  • Develop standardized sales presentations, proposals, scripts, etc. to communicate to global sales and marketing teams the features, benefits and values of products. 
  • Design and implement product launches for offline and online channels. 
  • Collaborate cross functionally, with Product and Market Development Managers, on market development strategies, sales opportunities and field communication solutions. 
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams on advertising and promotion to ensure product marketing, positioning, accuracy and effectiveness are achieved. 
  • Track customer care dashboards, metrics, consumer feedback and customer satisfaction to measure performance and employment of existing and new functionalities and features. 
  • Compose and maintain commercialized product information for web backend in conjunction with the Corporate and Regional Marketing group.

Regional Market Planning:

  • Work with the Product Manager and Market Developer to determine customer or user requirements to incorporate value propositions for regional sales and marketing teams 
  • Create and enhance marketing collateral (i.e. case studies, data sheets, whitepapers, FAQ, feature or benefit sheets) 
  • Review training communication and mediums to provide input for improving communication effectiveness with regional sales team, dealers and customers. 
  • Review current product sales and market feedback of current product for feature/messaging integration into new product specifications and collaboration with Product Managers

Other:

  • Assist product management in the development of product strategies. 
  • Complete competitive analysis and provide insights to product managers to be used in product strategy development.
  • Support channel partners with sales collateral, best practices, and training. 
  • Aid in development of market requirements document for creating product business case(s). 
  • Manage the organization and maintenance all media and market positioning information. 
  • Aid the sales organization in the elaboration of sales programs in collaboration of Product Management 
  • Aid Product Management in the organization of VOC planning and execution. 
  • Manage and maintain product content in the E-Store

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing or related discipline is required. 
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in product marketing or commercial marketing role. Experience within a manufacturing company in the construction/industrial equipment industry preferred. 
  3. Knowledge of sales, marketing and development processes with experience implementing plans and process improvements. 
  4. Strong leadership, sales support, project management, market research, problem-solving, content development and training skills. 
  5. Ability to work with all levels of employees in the Company and Customers. 
  6. Proven knowledge in market and customer research. 
  7. Excellent communication skills including listening, verbal, written and public speaking skills. 
  8. Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
  9. Must be fluent in English. 
  10. Ability to travel up to 25%, including globally on short notice. 
  11. Passport required for global travel.
