For more than three decades, Nancy’s Notions has grown into one of the largest and most trusted retailers for sewing, quilting, and embroidery enthusiasts around the world. We are seeking a Product Manager to join our Merchandising team. In this role, the Product Manager will be responsible for planning and developing product strategy that enables the company to sell a range of products that delivers sales and profit targets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze past sales figures/trends to anticipate future product needs and develop product assortment plans. 
  • Act as buyer managing the purchasing process and vendor relationships. 
  • Devise a contract for the suppliers including quality control, accuracy and flexibility. 
  • Monitor inventory, markdowns, and promotions. 
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing Creative Services and Web teams to create marketing and promotion materials.

Job Qualifications:

  • 2 - 3 years in Retail Merchandising, Business Administration, and/or marketing related area. 
  • Strong negotiation skills and group presentation skills. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills sufficient to communicate credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and maintain strict deadlines. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others. 
  • Preferably 1 - 3 years of buying responsibility with a major retailer. 
  • Preferably a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Merchandising or Marketing. 
  • Ability to travel 10% of time to trade shows, market weeks, etc. 
  • Experience or interest in sewing, crafting or quilting a plus.
