PR + Social Media Intern

We're looking for a PR-savvy intern to join our team. The qualified candidate will have strong writing and research capabilities along with applicable knowledge of popular social platforms. If you're the right internship candidate, then you're a go-getter, a problem solver, a team player, and a great writer.

You'll support a high-functioning team on assigned accounts and projects by providing day-to-day research and tactical execution in public relations, social media, and influencer management. This position will include tracking earned media mentions, writing compelling content, and engaging with digital influencers to help our clients tell great brand stories. Daily activities will include:

• Creating media lists using CISION and Meltwater SaaS 
• Development of publicity materials and media kits 
• Research that includes media as well as influencer identification
• Media monitoring using CISION, TVEyes, Google news, etc 
• Development of news summaries, assistance in creating reports and general office support
• Assistance with pitching/media outreach 
• Drafting and pitching media alerts and press releases

• You must have an action-oriented default setting 
• You must be able to write for legitimate news as well as social media 
• You should be comfortable with a fluid, autonomous and professional environment
