We're looking for a full-time copywriter to join our team and provide strategic messaging solutions for our tour, activity, & attraction clients. As a copywriter at Blend, you will craft engaging, on-brand messaging that captures the attention of the target audience and drives conversions. You will work alongside the creative team to develop distinct brand voices, ad campaign concepts, and marketing copy for websites, ads, blogs, and more.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging copy for various platforms, brand campaigns, websites, blogs, social media, email, scripts, out of home ads, brochures, and more.
  • Research and Content Auditing: Analyze competitive language, audit existing content, understand unique selling points, and understand the target customer for each client, to identify opportunities and ensure that all language is relevant, accurate, and optimized.
  • Verbal Identity Creation: Help craft a client's brand voice based on our brand strategy work.
  • Content Strategy: Contribute to the development of content strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. Ensure that copy is compelling at each stage of the customer journey.
  • Campaign Development: Collaborate with the creative team and strategists to develop and refine campaign concepts and messaging.
  • Content Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Track content performance, in conjunction with the ad teams and other analysts, and iterate for the best outcomes.
  • Editing & Proofing: Review and edit content to ensure it meets the standards of quality, clarity, and brand adherence.
  • SEO: Work with the SEO Manager to ensure that copy will help the content be discoverable.

This is a full-time role. Freelancers or part-time engagements will not be considered. While remote work is allowed, we are accepting only candidates who live in North America.

Requirements

  • Excel at taking complex ideas and translating them into beautifully articulated messages and concepts, with clarity and brevity. 
  • Are a self-starter who’s able to work both autonomously and collaboratively on projects. 
  • Have an innate desire to push yourself and the people around you. 
  • Love to take the verbal expression and identity of brands to a new level of quality and creativity.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in a similar role 
  • An outstanding portfolio that showcases your range of campaign ideas and copywriting 
  • Excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading skills 
  • A good understanding of consumer psychology, content marketing, and brand positioning 
  • Brand savvy with the ability to both create and adhere to brand voice guidelines 
  • An affinity for learning 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent education in English, journalism, marketing, communications, or a related field is strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a copywriter in an creative/ad agency 
  • Experience developing channel-specific and funnel-specific copy for ad campaigns 
  • A passion for travel and desire to stay on top of industry trends
