The Marketing Specialist assists in driving all advertising, promotions, and public relations factors for the entirety of the organization at both the onsite and corporate level.  This is a hybrid/remote position that can be located in the Appleton, Madison, or Milwaukee areas.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and target demographics
  • Utilize data insights to inform marketing strategies to optimize performance, physical appearance, and overall competitiveness of each corporate presence, and onsite presence. 
  • Maintains a deep knowledge of local, and greater industry market trends.
  • Identify, scope, review, and consult key vendor partners, efficiency tools, and innovation specific to the industry to enhance performance of both the Marketing department, and overall operations.
  • Maintain strong focus on generating new ideas through creative strategy, continuous research and make recommendations on areas of improvement or enhancement frequently.
  • May include travel to remote locations, trade shows, conferences, or other.
  • Assists with execution and formulation of prelease objectives, plans, and other prelease needs as assigned.
  • Assesses SEO and ILS performance on an ongoing basis through each the prospective customer lens, and through the analytical lens (Google analytics or other) to ensure site functionality, accuracy, and high performance always.
  • Oversees the Mystery shop program, and regularly audits incoming customer phone calls to ensure consistency in brand voice / company expectations. Regularly reports on the findings and supports the site in improvement efforts.
  • Occasional site visits to ensure curb appeal standards, assess signage needs, and general condition of the assets.
  • Assists in the development of training materials or resources to assist team members in the successful execution of marketing objectives.
  • Develops and oversees the community outreach efforts for each individual asset, and company overall.
  • Setup, continually monitor, and report performance progress and data accuracy (pricing, availability, hours etc) on ILS's and other ad source performance 
  • Manage / design ads and adjust where necessary.
  • Coordinate and execute internal company and property level newsletters.
  • Monitor and assist with outreach marketing campaigns necessary to boost occupancy at struggling assets.
  • Coordinates the design, ordering, and tracking of print collaterals for overall advertising and internal promotional marketing (Event flyers, print collateral, internal announcement materials, trade show give aways, etc.)
  • Monitors, manages, and responds to site and corporate level customer reviews, ensures consistency in brand voice and accurate depiction of the organization.
  • Designs, coordinates, completes, and arranges delivery of individual property newsletters monthly.
  • Designs and delivers all PR Requests received from sites and Arden corporate team members.
  • Designs all print advertising for local news publications, guide books and magazine.
  • Organizes and assists with onsite photo shoots and FF&E installations where necessary.
  • Assists in coordination and completion of Marketing outreach or job postings to promote APG through career fairs, LinkedIn, and through partnering with the T&C team to identify recruitment needs.
  • Assists in analyzing trend data to make suggestions on course correction efforts for negative trends observed (declining occupancies, reductions in traffic).
  • Oversight of ordering, replacement and installation of all portfolio signage.
  • Offers generalized support to the VP of Marketing in assigned marketing related tasks.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Degree/background in marketing related field preferred.
  • Direct experience working in marketing role required.
