Story Hill Renovations is seeking an in-house Marketing Manager to oversee SHR’s online presence, branding, communications, and opportunities to grow the business. This new part-time position will primarily focus on social media and SHR’s online presence, and serve as a general marketing specialist for other needs ranging from event coordination and promotions, to occasional press management. We are looking for someone who has a creative eye for details, feels comfortable working with a small team, and can take the lead on owning and managing our brand while working with outside marketing firms. This position requires 20-30 hours per week, with the potential to expand to a full time position if needed.

  • Manage and grow SHR’s organic social media presence including content development and posting, message replies, brand consistency, and tracking and reporting on KPIs
  • Work with SHR’s external digital advertising and website firms to oversee content and brand consistency, budget management, and meeting monthly goals
  • Maintain SHR’s website content to keep it fresh and up-to-date Manage local advertising opportunities to elevate SHR’s name recognition and brand in the community
  • Develop and execute promotions for referrals and new clients in coordination with SHR’s partners
  • Oversee process to submit for awards, including developing presentations, collecting collaborator information, and drafting copy describing projects
  • Coordinate external and internal events, such as trade shows, home tours, and internal team events Respond to occasional press inquiries and pitch feature opportunities each quarter
  • Draft and edit copy for all marketing-related content, such as social media content, blast emails, website content, award applications, etc.
  • Serve as lead brand manager, ensuring consistent use of logo, colors, and language across all marketing materials, and managing a library of promotional photo content
  • Travel to job sites to collect photos for social media content as needed
  • 2+ years experience in marketing, digital marketing, and/or public relations, ideally for a small business
  • Experience managing organic social media for a brand or small business, including developing content and tracking KPIs, and working with social media management software such Sendible/Buffer/Hootsuite/etc.
  • Experience overseeing a paid digital marketing program through an outside agency, or direct experience in developing and placing paid digital ads
  • Ability to develop graphic content and presentations as needed in Canva or other design software
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, and a keen eye for detail and quality content
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a small team and outside vendors, and often independently as the sole in-house marketing professional
  • Experience and ability to work with press on an as-needed basis
  • Ability to travel to project locations as needed Knowledge and/or experience working in the design-build/interior design/general contracting industry a plus, but not required
  • Ability to pivot, problem solve and remain poised
  • Flexibility, professionalism, humility, and a sense of humor
  • This is a part time position requiring 20-30 hours per week, with potential to grow to a full time position with healthcare and retirement benefits if needed
  • Hourly pay range: $25 - $30/hour
  • Other benefits include phone bill coverage, mileage reimbursement, potential bonus incentive program
