McHenry County Conservation District exists to preserve, restore and manage natural areas and open spaces for their intrinsic value and for the benefits to present and future generations.

McHenry County Conservation District owns and manages over 25,800 acres of open land diverse with woodlands, prairies, wetlands, ponds, creeks, and rivers. Thirty-five sites are currently open to the public year-round featuring 106 miles of hiking trails, 45 miles of biking trails, 45 fishing areas, 36 miles of horse trails, 6 canoe launches, 6 campgrounds, 18 sites with picnic areas and shelters, and a multitude of opportunities for wildlife viewing. The District also boasts 17 dedicated State Nature Preserves within its sites.

We're looking for a Marketing Manager to amplify our story, support our brand messaging, and engage diverse audiences in meaningful ways. Work with a diverse assortment of media platforms and development marketing programs/campaigns.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a high level of responsibility in managing budgets, utilizing district resources, and enhancing public relations. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for conservation, as well as a creative and collaborative approach to project management. Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication are essential for the planning, direction, and coordination of the work of the Marketing Department.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, digital marketing or related field with at least five (5) years related experiencewith strong competency and experience with using multiple social media platforms, personally and professionally including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, etc. and a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Salary: 69,888-104,832 per year.
