POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Graphic Design Internship position will support and assist the Marketing department in creating engaging visual communications in digital and print mediums with the following initiatives: social media library, content marketing projects, visual storytelling (data visualization, maps, charts, stakeholder journeys), and PowerPoint presentation support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Support the Marketing team in the creation of a social media library to create engaging and informative social content 
  • Support the Marketing and Community & Economic Development Team (CED) in the creation of PowerPoint presentations that provide updates, technical assistance, and impactful storytelling 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create visual storytelling that brings clarity to complex products, processes, and/or data to build understanding, demonstrate impact, and enhance stakeholder experience 
  • Create data visualizations and infographics for print, digital, and social media channels 
  • Present and review designs for approval with key stakeholders to ensure understanding, consensus, clarity, and accuracy 
  • Ability to fact-check and source information for accuracy and credibility 
  • Adhere to brand standards and guidelines 
  • Performs or assists with other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate majoring in graphic design, information design, or marketing communications. Open to other majors not listed that demonstrate clear communication skills and visual design ability 
  • Examples of creative design and visual storytelling work produced (student, professional, or personal) to demonstrate qualifications are requested

$18.00/hour.
