The Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting the marketing team to plan, develop and execute various marketing initiatives to support the OHC portfolio of brands, including Element Electronics, TYTUS Grills, and future businesses and brands. To succeed in this role, the Marketing Intern will need creativity, project management skills and an understanding of basic marketing principles.

Our internship program is designed to create a learning environment where students can apply classroom knowledge in a real work environment. Learn and work alongside our inclusive, collaborative, and entrepreneurial team members while you complete strategic project work for the business. Candidates must be available for 12 consecutive weeks during the summer months, with the program expected to run from Late May to mid-August. This role is on-site, and will be based out of our Edina, MN location. The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings consistently.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Leads assigned strategic project(s) from ideation to execution 
  • Support teams to plan, develop, and execute marketing initiatives. 
  • Complete projects related to branding, content creation, and digital marketing. 
  • Assist team with the preparation of campaigns and reports. 
  • Support marketing campaign planning and execution 
  • Write copy for social media posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral 
  • Assist in creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels 
  • Help manage and optimize pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and social media 
  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO strategies 
  • Take part in formal and information training opportunities 
  • Measure and report results of marketing initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field 
  • Successful completion of introductory courses in marketing, business, or equivalent 
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
  • Applied understanding of basic marketing principles 
  • Creative problem-solving skills 
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently 
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Familiarity with major digital & social media platforms (Google, Facebook, X, YouTube, etc.)
