Jackson’s is a leading manufacturer of Sweet Potato Kettle Chips cooked in premium, great tasting oils based in Muskego, Wisconsin.

Our founders created the product after their son, Jackson, was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder. Their top priority was to find ways to ease his symptoms. After much trial and error, they discovered that a high-fat, low-carb diet (with an emphasis on coconut oil and other ancestral fats) greatly improved both his health and quality of life.

The whole family adopted this way of eating, but sure missed snack foods. So they set out to make their own! They began cooking thinly-sliced sweet potatoes low and slow in coconut oil on the stovetop. The results were delicious!

The chips were too good not to share, so they started Jackson's! His legacy lives on through this company and the snacks he inspired.

Food Lover’s rejoice! Jackson’s Food Company, a leading manufacturer of Sweet Potato Kettle Chips cooked in premium, great tasting oils is looking for a Heroic Marketing Coordinator to support integrated marketing efforts out of its brand-new facility in Muskego, WI.

Position Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator will drive Jackson’s consumer engagement through the execution of content and digital experience strategies. This position will lead community management and take an active presence in content development. They should know how to spot a trend and have the chops to create content themselves as well as work with creators and our agencies to ensure all content is consistent with our brand ethos and style. This role reports to the Director of Marketing.

Ways You Will Make A Difference:

  • Drive community management with consumers and influencers. Be agile on the spot with your voice and tone. Do you have what it takes to be the voice of a sweet potato chip? And then can you be agile enough to turn into a Gen Z’er or a millennial mom? 
  • Serve as a trend spotter on a daily basis and determine what real-time content opportunities Jackson’s should play into. 
  • Oversee content development and execution for monthly and quarterly social calendars across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and TikTok. Work with graphic designers to create accompanying graphics to complement content plans 
  • Spearhead social media executions and channel launches to put our brand at the forefront of culture. 
  • Help us prove and improve! Use native platforms, social listening and reporting tools to help us analyze what works and what didn’t Analyze data to inform future platform, post type and audience recommendations. 
  • Work with social media influencers to spread word of mouth – always making sure Jackson’s shows love to those who love us online. Develop influencer opportunities as needed. 
  • Coordinate social media contest and giveaways with external partners 
  • Responsible for community management across owned social media platforms addressing all messages, comments, tagged photos, mentions, and any other questions or concerns in a timely manner 
  • Coordinate product samples delivery to support media and influencer relationships Support product launches and new business initiatives through onsite activations 
  • Maintain daily communication with Marketing Director to stay apprised of marketing needs, expectations and project status 
  • Assist CEO and Marketing Director in ad hoc projects

Experiences That Will Support Your Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business, marketing or communications 
  • 1-2 years in a social media, content or communications role, including relevant internships and course work 
  • Experience planning and executing campaigns across online channels
  • Experience managing online communities/customer service 
  • Experience finding online trends and turning them into branded opportunities 
  • Experience creating content and managing an online content calendar 
  • Experience measuring and evaluating content across channels 
  • Experience working within a dynamic cross-functional team environment, navigating objectives to drive priority and deliver breakthrough results
