PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The Content Developer and Copywriter specialist will be responsible for or creating creative, engaging, and high-quality content that resonates with our target audience. This position involves a diverse range of writing and editing tasks, for various platforms such as website copy, blog posts, social media content, email campaigns, white papers, and case studies targeting different personas. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker who can develop design concepts that align with the copy and is well-versed in SEO best practices. Key responsibilities include content creation, SEO optimization, performance analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain brand consistency and contribute to the overall marketing strategy and objectives. Strong writing, editing and organization skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and stay updated on industry trends.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and produce high-quality content for various platforms, including website copy, social media posts, email campaigns, white papers, and case studies that drive website traffic, generate leads and increase opportunities. 
  • Content Creation: Create engaging and informative content that effectively targets different personas and aligns with our brand voice. This includes, writing, editing, proofreading a variety of content forms, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with marketing campaigns and overall company objectives. 
  • SEO Optimization: Optimize content for SEO to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic. This includes collaborating with the development team to implement SEO best practices, ensuring content is optimized for search engines to boost organic visibility. 
  • Social media: Produce content that enhances brand awareness and fosters audience engagement. 
  • Email Marketing: Craft persuasive copy for email marketing campaigns, landing pages, and advertisements, focusing on conversion and customer engagement. 
  • Collaboration with Design Teams: Work with designer(s) to develop concepts visually appealing and cohesive content that complements written materials. 
  • Conduct thorough research to stay updated on industry trends, target audiences, and competitors to incorporate relevant insights into content creation. 
  • Stay current with best practices in content marketing, copywriting, and SEO. 
  • Measure and analyze the performance of content initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for improvement. 
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Manage and collaborate with external agencies and freelancers as needed, when necessary. 
  • All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in B2B and B2C marketing. 
  • 5+ years of experience in copywriting and content development, with a strong portfolio showcasing various content types and writing styles. 
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative content ideas. 
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization techniques. 
  • Proficient in developing targeted content for email marketing campaigns and executing, with a strong understanding of performance metrics. 
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with analytics tools to measure content effectiveness. 
  • Strong organizational and project time management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to identify and solve problems and effectively communicate concerns.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and marketing tools. (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, D365 Marketing) 
  • Proficiency in social media marketing and analytics. 
  • Quickly become proficient in using company resources and technology platforms 
  • Familiarity with the Plastics industry or a related field is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Corel, Canva) to develop content is a plus.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
