Milk Specialties Global has an exciting opportunity available for a Marketing Communications Intern in our Eden Prairie, MN Corporate Office targeting an effective date of November 1, 2019.

The Marketing Communications Intern will be a part of the Marketing team supporting both Animal and Human Nutrition Divisions. The individual will collaborate and be responsible for a wide range of activities focused on the brand building and higher external awareness of Milk Specialties Global.

In addition to performing the responsibilities outlined below, the intern will also have a development project to help the intern to understand the responsibilities of business to business marketing.

Marketing Communication Intern Responsibilities:

Marketing Assistance

  • Tactical execution of sales support materials and presentations 
  • Support event planning/trade show execution for domestic and international presence 
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Marketing Material Development

  • Produce marketing collateral using Adobe Suite Programs, Microsoft Illustrator and other programs, for both internal and external audience, as directed by the Marketing Manager. 
  • Use Adobe Suite Programs and PowerPoint to input copy, images, and edits. 
  • Customer Analysis in Excel for targeted communication opportunities 
  • Manage updates to internal libraries and share updates to sales.

Marketing Communication and Creative

  • Planning support for Social media initiatives and continuous build of content. 
  • Executional support for direct marketing initiatives via CRM platform 
  • Bring a creative approach and fresh ideas to marketing collateral.

Position Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Marketing, Communication, Business or related field, and a minimum of 2-years university coursework completed. 
  • Agriculture/Nutritional Science background or coursework preferred. 
  • Excellent computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Illustrator and Adobe Suite, strong project management skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong record of prioritization, organization and follow-through 
  • Experience with video and photography is a plus. 
  • Enthusiastic, willingness to learn. 
  • A team player who wants to contribute to a thriving culture.
