We are seeking a Marketing Associate to join our Milwaukee office location. In this role, the Marketing Associate will proactively develop and manage the marketing plans that support and enhance the vendor relationships of our fast-growing and dynamic business technology consulting practice. Responsibilities will span the entire software product life cycle and encompass both strategic planning and tactical execution activities.

The Marketing Associate is responsible for the execution of marketing activities to support plans that enhance the vendor relationships of our fast-growing and dynamic business technology consulting practice. Coordinates a wide range of marketing tactics and initiatives in support of those plans.

The Marketing Associate is part of a growing team focused on building and strengthening software company alliances, as well as expanding the consulting practice overall. This position works closely with the Software Alliance Marketing Manager to support the business goals and objectives. Executes plans and activities, including: 

  • Helping the Marketing Manager as needed in creating the integrated strategic marketing plan.
  • Coordinating activities to support marketing plans, which may include thought leadership, sponsorships, special events, seminars, webinars, trade show exhibits, meet-and-greet socials, etc.
  • Supporting the business relationships with the marketing contacts at each alliance, including assistance with regular status communications.
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders to help develop and project manage deliverables included in marketing plan and specific program rollouts.
  • Helping support public relations activities and other communications.
  • Executing tactics to support field activities including events, demos, trainings, html campaigns, call campaign scripts, survey questions, or other tactics.
  • Assisting in the communications of new product introductions and services, corporate initiatives, etc. to alliance partners and the marketplace.
  • Helping manager secure marketing co-op funds when available.
  • Executing marketing initiatives that support other service lines within the consulting business unit.
  • Conducting online and database research of specific companies, target lists, competitors, and industry trends and creating reports.
  • Tracking and reporting marketing return on investment (MROI) of initiatives.
  • Proactively and appropriately communicating initiatives and results with the marketing team and related industry/services lines.
  • Ensuring work meets compliance standards and Baker Tilly brand guidelines. 
  • Maintain and expand knowledge base in area of expertise. 
  • Participate in professional organizations, independent study, etc.
  • Integrate new knowledge, skills, and best practices into daily work and share with colleagues as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned. Participate in special projects.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Marketing, Communications, English or related field required. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on marketing experience required, business-to-business software vendor environment preferred.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills required. Experience with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and Photoshop preferred.
  • Requires professionalism, diplomacy, organization, creativity, and ability to manage multiple project requests simultaneously in a timely manner, as well as the ability to deal with all levels of management.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff from entry level to partners and work well in a team-focused environment.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills required.

Working Conditions: 

  • Workload varies significantly to meet client demands and may require extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, due to client demands or internal projects. 
  • Position may require travel, including overnight and/or weekend travel. 
  • Workload and client demands create tight deadlines and the need to work under pressure 
  • The project team environment and associated team effort serve to lessen the pressure on any one individual.
