As a Marketing and Events Intern, you'll get hands-on experience in multimedia marketing and event planning within a local government setting. You’ll be involved in creating engaging content, assisting with event logistics, and helping with everything from Farmers Market operations to social media strategies. It's a great opportunity to grow your skills, collaborate with a fun team, and make a real difference in the community!

What We’re Looking For:

  • You’re a full-time student studying marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, media studies, or a related field.
  • You have a good understanding of social media and digital marketing.
  • You’re comfortable with tech tools like Microsoft Office and Canva (bonus points for experience with digital cameras and photo editing!).
  • You’re detail-oriented, organized, and can juggle multiple tasks with a smile! A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and with a team are key.
  • Previous experience with customer service or cash handling is a plus.
  • You are available some evenings and weekends to work the fun events that make Oak Creek a great place to be.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of office procedures. Experience using digital cameras, cell phones and tablets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Canva preferred.
  • This role requires the incumbent to be enthusiastic, collaborative, and dedicated to the challenges of municipal communications and marketing.
  • Must be able to work well independently and as a member of a collaborative team.Previous cash handling or customer service experience is preferred.

$15-$20 per hour DOE
