TopLine Federal Credit Union is looking for a new Marketing and Communications Manager to join our Corporate team in Maple Grove, MN!

Strategic Responsibility:

Provides tactical and analytical marketing support to the meet the strategic business goals for TopLine Federal Credit Union. Works closely with the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications to identify and implement initiatives that will drive membership and revenue through integrated marketing and communication channels, including direct mail, email, social media, digital channels, collateral literature, statements and other member communications, along with other advertising efforts, events and sponsorships, public relations and community involvement, and volunteering. Responsible for development and implementation of visual communications (graphic design) and messaging tailored to aggressively service TopLine's marketplace.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to quality efforts at TopLine by putting member service above all else. 
  • Commits to strategic and corporate goals by delivering the highest standard of TopLine’s Red Book service to all internal and external customers and provides support in the department and across all business lines. 
  • Possesses strong internal and external communication skills and builds solid working relationships with colleagues, business and community partners, and media contacts. 
  • Coordinates ideation sessions for marketing team and works with all business lines to generate and implement creative ideas to support strategic plan initiatives. 
  • Ability to identify and bring forward ideas to increase brand awareness, product use, development or enhancement, and process improvements. 
  • Oversees implementation of and reporting on approved marketing plan and department budget.

Role and Responsibilities (continued):

  • Assesses marketing programs and evaluates strategies by tracking costs and metric performance to report key findings and effectiveness on all integrated marketing channels to SVP. 
  • Responsible for thorough employee interaction, communication and understanding of marketing programs. 
  • Responsible for development of visual communications (graphic design) for a variety of internal employee and external member/public communications, ensuring TopLine's brand standards and compliance requirements are met. (may include: direct mail, emessages, website, newsletters, brochures, inserts, seminar invitations, statements, social media posts and ads, digital ads, and other ad-hoc requests) 
  • Responsible for collaborating on writing and proofing internal and external communications to consistently meet brand standards and compliance requirements. (see list above, in addition to press releases, website content and knowledgebase tool, newsletter articles, on-hold messaging, statement messaging, blogs,social media content, digital content, award submissions, and other ad-hoc requests) 
  • Accountable for managing email system, website and social media platforms by developing appropriate imagery and content to distribute; responds timely to comments and interactions. Works with SVP, marketing team and agency on all other items related to digital marketing strategy and tactics, such as ad buys, reputation management and reporting. 
  • Develops, collaborates and implements strategies specific to various social media networks to grow followers, and engage, retain and assist in converting to members, active fans and promoters of TopLine. 
  • Consistently researches and executes on industry, social media and digital trends and best practices to integrate into strategy to garner awareness and continue to build digital audience. 
  • Negotiates vendor contracts and maintains vendor management database. 
  • Manages and coordinates event planning activities such as seminars, workshops, special events, annual meeting and volunteer opportunities; schedules and implements for proper execution to enhance TopLine’s awareness and generate additional visibility. 
  • Responsible for managing, coordinating and conducting financial education presentations, workshops and other public events to educate members/community to enhance TopLine’s awareness and visibility. 
  • Manages internal branch merchandising for all locations – ideation and coordination. 
  • Coordinates marketing department activities including one-time campaigns and recurring programs that include both print and digital. Maintains files of all programs and promotions per compliance requirements. 
  • Manages online print inventory system; assists with marketing collateral, supplies and giveaway items. 
  • Maintains marketing database with importing/updating data on a monthly basis with analytical ability to query data based on specific parameters and track results. 
  • Provides staff support to other departments and assists with market research/competitive analysis. 
  • Maintains a high-level of energy, positive attitude and motivation to consistently seek ways to enhance knowledge and develop role within the organization. 
  • Maintains complete knowledge of TopLine products and services for effective promotion and cross sales. 
  • Seeks out and maintains current financial industry knowledge to maintain competitive edge. 
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the SVP of Marketing and Communications in a timely and professional manner. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages and coordinates activities of marketing team, including hiring, training and performance evaluations. 
  • Directs marketing team and vendors and coordinates the implementation of the marketing plan. 
  • Manages all aspects of the marketing plan include monitoring expenses and evaluating effectiveness. 
  • Oversees and coordinates internships; providing support, training and performance evaluations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Four-year degree in communications, marketing or journalism. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Marketing, Public Relations or Communications related field essential. Knowledge of credit union industry would be helpful. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisor or managerial experience. 
  • Creative design skills essential with minimum of 5 years of practical experience. 
  • Collaborate with marketing team to produce and design innovative concepts. 
  • Written communication and creative writing skills with minimum of 5 years of practical experience; highly proficient in proof reading and copy-editing skills. 
  • Candidate must be enthusiastic and creative, have exceptional interpersonal skills, proactive approach to identify opportunities and have proven written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Candidate must be detail oriented, with an eye for consistency, excellent organizational skills to work on several projects at the same time with accuracy and self-direction. 
  • Ability to work effectively with people in a diverse fast paced environment that encompasses regular deadlines, adapt quickly to changing priorities, in a demanding and innovative environment. 
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of TopLine Federal Credit Union. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign), Canva, Google My Business, Google Analytics, MailChimp, eClincher, and spreadsheet skills experience essential; and Macintosh experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge and skilled in social media platforms.
