The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will support targeted outreach efforts, aiding in building and enhancing GHC-SCW's reputation through digital and traditional promotional activities. This role involves assisting with writing, design, and project support functions that cater to both internal and external customers. The coordinator will work closely with internal teams to help implement and measure the effectiveness of marketing, sales and communications plans, aligning with GHC-SCW’s target audiences. Additionally, this role includes supporting the management of the Marketing department and Sales department projects, ensuring timely and efficient project execution under the supervision of the Marketing and Communications Manager.

JOB SPECIFIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field is preferred. 
  2. Entry-level understanding or internship experience in marketing, communications, or media is beneficial. Familiarity with health care marketing, health insurance, or related fields is a plus. 
  3. Ability to travel to various work-related sites is required. Possession of a valid, Wisconsin driver license is required, if the employee is operating a motor vehicle. Employee is expected to provide personal transportation. 
  4. Knowledge of and/or the ability to learn and understand GHC-SCW insurance products, services and benefits is required. 
  5. Basic knowledge of content and content management technologies, protocols, and development tools including MS SharePoint, WordPress and search engine optimization is preferred. 
  6. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, or equivalent, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database, or presentation software programs. 
  7. Experience or willingness to learn Adobe Suite programs such as InDesign and Photoshop is preferred. 
  8. Basic knowledge of communication strategies including social media-based communications is preferred. 
  9. Ability to assist in planning, organizing, and writing various types of promotional materials. 
  10. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations across areas such as differing ages, cultures, values, beliefs, learning styles, and literacy levels. 
  11. Ability to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. Ability to write, edit and develop informational publications and materials. 
  12. Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are required. 
  13. Organizational skills and attention to detail is required. 
  14. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse populations. 
  15. Clear verbal and written communication skills. 
  16. Basic leadership and collaboration skills. 
  17. Ability to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public.
