The Manager, Digital Marketing is responsible for the project management, analysis, and day-to-day QA of agency execution across brands (Crate & Barrel, Crate & Kids) for Digital Media to drive overall company traffic, sales, and customer development targets through obsessive data-driven optimizations tailored by customer type, category, and channel, coupled with an always-on test and scale mentality (AI, Betas, etc.).

This is a hybrid position that currently works 4 days per week in the Northbrook, Illinois office.

What you'll do...

  • Facilitate direction and guidance for digital channel execution to agencies, covering programmatic display, online video, CTV, affiliate, and paid social, while considering customers’ multichannel experience 
  • Lead implementation of channel-level strategy across all brandsManage program budgets, pacing along with reporting and analysis 
  • Oversee key vendor and agency relationships, ensuring effective collaboration and execution. 
  • Enhance digital media programs by using state-of-the-art tools and automation whenever possible 
  • Drive topline sales through increased marketing contributions to e-commerce, retail, and overall performance via obsessive data-driven optimizations tailored by customer type, category, and channel, coupled with an always-on test and scale mentality (AI, Betas, etc.) 
  • Serve as an expert on digital media within the company and create awareness of its opportunities and challenges 
  • Implement and improve account management processes such as creative development, audience-specific strategies, and overall optimization 
  • Work cross-functionally across paid and organic media and brand teams to manage strategy across audiences, geo, promotions, etc. 
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses and reporting to inform strategy, optimization, and other key decision-making 
  • Partner with marketing analytics and customer analytics teams to refine tactics and improve campaign performance 
  • Leverage Media Mix Modeling to optimize media mix and allocation for maximum ROI 
  • Work toward automation of repetitive daily/weekly/monthly tasks 
  • Collaborate with Creative on ad development and testing 
  • Partner with Media agency to improve overall brand visibility and drive maximum efficiency 
  • Continuously develop ways to improve the program using state-of-the-art tools and automation whenever possible 
  • Participate in projects that increase the department's technical capabilities, improve data structures and data integrity, and promote new strategic efforts
  • Sustain effective relationships with key business partners (internal business units, external parties, outside vendors) 
  • Manage a team of professionals and is responsible for these associates' overall direction, coordination, and evaluation

What you'll bring to the table...

Ability to serve as Digital Media expert including...

  • Social: Meta, Pinterest, TikTok 
  • Programmatic: DSP Knowledge (V360, Tradedesk, Amazon), CM360 / Campaign Manager 360, Liveramp 
  • Video, Audio, and Display: both in-house and with agency partners 

Experience partnering with vendors or 3rd parties in the following areas: ensuring that deadlines are met, that plans are accurate and budget/goals are achieved

Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once

Eager to learn with a proactive vs reactive mindset

Strong analytical skills with a proven record of finding insights by analyzing data

Strong project management skills

Understand customer needs and trends for our core consumer

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

  • 5 years experience in Digital Marketing, Digital Media or Paid Social, eCommerce, Analytics or a related field 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics or Finance preferred or equivalent work experience 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel required 
  • Proficiency in Web Analytics tools (Adobe/Omniture, Google Analytics), SQL, Access or related knowledge in their underlying processes 
  • Familiarity with Google Ad Tech Stack a strong plus 
  • Retail experience with Digital Marketing a plus
