To supervise the work activities of Graphics employees in accordance with plant policies and procedures with guidance from the Graphics Production Mgr. This individual helps foster a work environment that encourages creative, positive thinking and embraces a culture of change and complete customer satisfaction. This is the entry level leadership role for the department.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Trains new or existing employees in accordance with operational procedures. 
  • Coaches employees as needed with the goal of enabling the employee to identify and handle complex or out of policy operational problems. 
  • Responsible to meet team production and quality goals. 
  • Monitors the production schedules and communicates critical milestones to key stakeholders. 
  • Schedules and holds team meetings designed to evaluate processes and drive process improvement initiatives. 
  • Conducts employee performance metric reviews. 
  • Assists the management team in the overall development of employees. 
  • Monitors and approves employee overtime and vacations in accordance with plant policies and procedures. 
  • Identifies critical process weak-points and works with management team to make improvements. 
  • Actively participates on teams and leads teams as requested 
  • Safety Directive Owner responsible for a section of the Amcor Safety Compliance Assessment

WHAT WE VALUE:

  • Must have a solid understanding of digital graphics, desktop publishing applications and how they apply to the different printing processes

  • Leadership: Has a high level of personal credibility; follows through on commitments. Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain self-control when faced with unexpected challenges.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalency with an emphasis on graphic arts, printing or business would satisfy the formal requirements for this position. 
  • 3 – 5 years experience preferred in related graphics pre-press 
  • Attendance at technical seminars given by suppliers, colleges or graphics arts associations.
  • Previous experience in applications or training
