POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a talented graphic designer to join the Gerber marketing team. In this role, you will help create both digital and printed marketing materials for a variety of business channels. Your visuals need to grab attention and convey the intended message effectively. Achieving this requires creativity and a strong skill in turning requirements into impactful designs. Candidates should be able to produce high-quality materials while adhering to Gerber’s brand guidelines. This role reports directly to the Art Director. Please submit a portfolio of your past work when applying for this position. Any applicants without a portfolio will not be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design assets for both digital and printed applications including website graphics, social media imagery & videos, sales literature, signage, advertisements, email imagery, packaging, and more 
  • Create visually appealing layouts and perform typesetting to ensure clarity, readability, and effective communication of content 
  • Design email marketing templates and layouts to effectively engage the target audience 
  • Skillfully edit and retouch photos and renderings to enhance quality and visual impact, and ensuring they meet project standards and specifications 
  • Help ideate and execute social media content on-the-fly, including ad hoc video and photo production as needed 
  • Follow guidance and direction from the Art Director and Brand Manager to ensure alignment with creative vision and brand objectives 
  • Assist the Art Director and marketing team by actively participating in meetings, tracking project timelines, and maintaining regular communication to share progress and updates on work 
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and team members to incorporate feedback and make necessary design adjustments, ensuring alignment with project goals and expectations 
  • Maintain strict adherence to project timelines while demonstrating flexibility to accommodate changes and adjustments as needed 
  • Strive to deliver outstanding results that go beyond client expectations, ensuring satisfaction through high-quality design and attentive service 
  • Stay updated on emerging design trends, tools, and practices to support the team effectively 
  • Provide ad hoc and additional support to the marketing team and other departments within the organization as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field 
  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design or relevant experience 
  • Commensurate work experience 
  • Experience designing with HTML and CSS 
  • Exposure to packaging design and production 
  • Basic understanding of motion graphics 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat 
  • Some working knowledge of After Adobe Effects and Adobe XD 
  • Confident using Microsoft Windows OS and the Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Goal-oriented with high standards for quality and performance 
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and work well as a member of a global team 
  • Hardworking, action-oriented, and results driven 
  • Demonstrates a “roll up your sleeves” initiative to get the job done 
  • Strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail
