The graphic designer-photographer is responsible for completing assigned design and photography tasks and seeing them through post-production completion. The position will interact with the entire marketing team to ensure sales, events and promotions excite and delight our guests. In addition to design projects, the graphic designer-photographer will have the opportunity to see their work come to life in our stores, occasionally helping with installations and being an ambassador of our brand at select events.

Design

Accurately and creatively design projects as assigned Ability to work in both print and digital media Edit, review and proofread finished projects

Manage products through post-production, including printing, cutting, mounting, hanging, packaging, folding, laminating

Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of Sendik’s products and events

Adhere to brand parameters when required Concept new designs when required

Strong organizational skills (file management, deadline commitments, etc.)

 

Photograph

Photograph basic packaging images from multiple angles

Style and photograph cooked meals and plate settings

Set and photograph Sendik's Home goods, including plants, flowers, kitchen-ware and apparel

Photograph events and associates for use in future marketing efforts

Complete post-production work, including edit RAW photos, color correct, crop and path

Organize and manage digital photo archive Working knowledge of DSLR cameras and studio equipment

 

Communication/Teamwork

Collaborate and contribute to all aspects of marketing team

Positively interact and effectively communicate with all fellow Sendik's associates

Ability to segment and share projects tasks with teammates to stay on track for completion

Willingness to serve as brand ambassador at select events 

Two-plus years of photography and design experience, preferably in or for retail

Strong computer skills. Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom; Microsoft Office product suite; and Google Docs.

Well organized, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to understand and follow instructions

Ability to work independently to meet uncompromising deadlines

Excellent communication, prioritization and organizational skills
