Your Role:

The Graphic Artist is responsible for creating visual concepts using computer software to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. This position will develop the overall layout and production design for packaging, advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Create original packaging, sell sheets and digital images for internal and external customers. 
  • Interpret and apply information provided by Creative Visual Branding Manager, other artists, internal and external customers and related sources. 
  • Create virtual images in JPGs, PNGs, GIFs, PDFs, and other file formats for digital proofing, high-quality proofs, on-press printing, online advertising, PowerPoint presentations, etc. 
  • Produce and inspect graphic files for aesthetics, consistency, accuracy and technically correct graphic structure. 
  • Develop technically accurate, computer-generated production art; produce final files that preflight properly and comply with FTC rules. 
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of CMYK, spot, flexographic and lithographic printing processes. 
  • Document and update projects and customer information using an internal electronic database. 
  • Participate in cross-functional and inter-departmental teams as requested. 
  • Perform work in a safe manner that protects and promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment.

We need you to have:

  • High School degree. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in Graphic Design. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of layout, type, color and printing processes. 
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe graphics software (Illustrator, INDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat) on an Apple/Mac platform. 
  • Working knowledge of Filemaker, Suitcase Fusion, Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel, PowerPoint and the Macintosh Operating System. 
  • Ability to self-train on new technical software, upgrades, and techniques on an ongoing basis, and work with little oversight. 
  • Attention to detail, ability to proof artwork and test software programs meticulously. 
  • Good communications skills. 
  • Knowledge of FTC guidelines.

Icing on the cake:

  • Associate’s degree in graphic design or a related field.
  • Prior experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry

Posted Salary Range: USD $62,000.00 - USD $70,000.00.
