Little Village Play Cafe is a welcoming, community-driven space where families can connect, kids can explore, and caregivers can relax. Designed with both play and comfort in mind, we offer a thoughtfully curated play area, engaging Little Learners classes, and a cozy café serving high-quality coffee and snacks.
In addition to our standard business hours, we host private party rentals, special events, classes, and workshops, making Little Village a hub for play, learning, and celebration. Our mission is to create a “village” where families feel supported, friendships are built, and play is at the heart of everything we do.
Little Village Play Cafe is looking for a creative, community-minded, detail-oriented intern to join our team for the Spring 2025 semester (February–May), with the possibility of extending through Summer (May–August)!

As a Marketing & Events Intern, you’ll report to our Events & Membership Manager, collaborate with our Staff Manager on event execution, and work with our Founder to ensure all marketing efforts reflect Little Village’s mission and community focus.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Promote and market all events, Little Learners classes, and private event rentals Assist with social media content creation (reels, stories, TikTok videos, and posts), including scheduling and optimizing for engagement
- Capture photo and video content during events and throughout regular business hours
- Publish events on our website, track sign-ups, and list events on owned and relevant local/media calendars
- Develop and schedule marketing emails using Mailchimp Assist with event preparation and provide day-of event support to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Communicate with day-of staff to ensure smooth execution and exceptional customer service
- Collaborate on creative campaigns to grow our membership community and elevate the Little Village brand

Compensation: This is a paid internship with a wage of $12–$14 per hour, based on experience.
