Our Emerging Brands team is an exciting, fast growing incubation group at Constellation Brands responsible for building new consumer-focused brands and businesses with an entrepreneurial approach to deliver the next wave of divisional growth for the company. As our brand portfolio grows, we are seeking a Marketing Manager to be a key member of our Brand Marketing team. This new role will be responsible for building the early stage success of our future power brands.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about building brands and processes from the ground up with a start-up mentality, who is excited to drive brands through marketing campaigns/commercial execution/and innovation, and is ready to drive results as an owner with full P&L responsibilities.

This Role Will:

  • Support the brand strategy and lead early marketing, innovation, & commercialization activities for a portfolio of brands in the portfolio (likely responsible for 1-2 brands). 
  • Manage agency partners and development of brand campaigns and creative assets. 
  • Oversee the development of the monthly brand health trackers to forecast, track and analyze brand initiatives and performance in order to ensure we meet and/or exceed our performance. 
  • Lead product innovation development and optimizations in response to in-market learnings with cross functional partners across our portfolio of products. 
  • Leverage the power of storytelling to bring to brands and marketing plans to life and inspire support internally and externally. 
  • Utilize advanced consumer insights to identify opportunities and further optimize our product and brand campaigns to drive growth and meet objectives. 
  • Serve as a key liaison for our sales / in-market specialists to help build sell stories for customer and internal sales meetings.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver top tier, consumer validated advertising platforms and manage their execution; a bias towards digital-led and out of the box creative 
  • Lead the ongoing analysis of category, competitive and consumer trends 
  • Owns the P&L and market success for assigned brands - Deliver brand annual financial plans 
  • Collaborate across departments within Constellation Brands, displaying team attitude and and a commensurate level of diplomacy and organization. 
  • Provide leadership across Commercialization brand portfolio to ensure alignment of brand strategies and initiatives with cross-functional partners, sales, production, operations and legal 
  • Lead effective communication to sales, NPD specialists and Trade marketing teams to optimize and execute brand plans, regional programs, competitors’ insights and best in class execution across all Commercialization brands 
  • Directly support Constellation & Distributor sales teams & participate hands-on in sales efforts 
  • Manage brands portfolio budget and recommend budget adjustments across portfolio or programming based on brand/market performance or opportunities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 4-6 years of Marketing (brand or agency) experience, including creative campaign building 
  • Strong quantitative/financial acumen 
  • Outstanding storytelling, spoken and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to leadership and external stakeholders 
  • Resilient and tenacious, appreciates failure and feedback as an opportunity to learn with propensity to persevere 
  • Ability to work with agility and urgency 
  • Ability to think strategically as well as tactically (and scrappily) 
  • Experience in product / package development and creative point of sale/merchandising materials development, which support brand positioning. 
  • Proven ability to analyze data (including pulling scan data, eg from IRI/Circana), identify opportunities, and develop business plans that significantly build the business. 
  • Ability to focus on multiple tasks and deadlines, and effectively prioritize 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Strong teamwork skills; ability to take ownership of projects and work with interdepartmental functions to achieve project completion in a smooth and timely manner 
  • Strong PC skills (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA Preferred 
  • P&L management preferred but not required 
  • Beverage or beverage alcohol industry experience in either a marketing or sales management capacity preferred, but not required 
  • A passion for and desire to be immersed in the beverage alcohol business 
  • A sense of humor and an ability to pivot with a positive attitude
