THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:


As Director of Media Strategy for UB Media, Ulta Beauty’s Retail Media Network, you will serve as key leader on a growing internal media team focused on building our UB Media business. This is a new role for the organization and is equal parts advisor and doer. You will operate at the center of several strategy and execution-oriented marketing and media teams, bringing together strategic marketing plans focused on seasonal and enterprise moments.

Reporting to the Vice President of Media, you will be responsible for leading a talented team and collaborating with internal cross-functional partners to drive business growth through UB Media campaigns. The Director must be skilled in translating business and marketing objectives into digital-first media plans that drive direct consumer response in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

You will play an integral role in helping to drive revenue growth for UB Media, a highly visible strategic growth initiative for the organization.


YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:


  • Lead collaboration of seasonal and enterprise moments across merchandising, marketing and UB Media to ensure connectivity across enterprise initiatives.
  • Collaborate with merchant team on key enterprise moments and align their priorities across UB Media and Core marketing campaigns.
  • Provide strategic media recommendations to achieve Ulta Beauty and UB Media client business objectives.
  • Lead compilation of insights and data points for seasonal and enterprise moments to inform UB Media pitch decks.
  • Create seasonal and enterprise pitch decks and sell sheets for UB Media to share with brands.
  • Develop case studies and other relevant marketing material.
  • Monitor KPIs to evaluate effectiveness of campaigns for continuous optimization to drive revenue in competitive retail market and to inform future strategies.
  • Interface with external agencies to develop media strategies and stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Keep a pulse on evolving media landscape, beauty industry, audience trends, culture, and competitive activity to spark innovation in marketing efforts.
  • Provide insights to leadership to demonstrate the impact of the collective media investment.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in media, marketing, business, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in full funnel media planning across all channels with a passion for the beauty industry; Retail Media experience or Brand Marketing experience at a retailer are strongly preferred.
  • Must have significant experience in developing and activating strategies for digital channels utilizing strong analytical ability.
  • Retail Media Network experience at a retailer is a plus.
  • Understanding of merchandising organization and ability to foster those relationships.
  • Understanding of marketing program design, execution, and measurement.
  • 5+ years of strong talent management skills motivating and developing high-performing team with people-first leadership orientation.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to create sales material.
  • Both a big picture strategic thinker, with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data/insights into media strategies, and a highly organized “doer,” with a data-driven mentality and a bias towards action.
  • Successful track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners on strategy development and execution to ensure optimal channel cross-channel planning, synchronization, and performance.
  • Strong ability to lead through influence to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and oral, with the ability to articulate complex strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated with experience managing through ambiguity to move planning forward with speed.
  • Excellent project management skills with experience managing complexity across multiple initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with frequent optimizations and highly skilled in prioritization with a strong attention to detail.
  • Travel required up to 20% of the time.

The pay range for this position is $136,100.00 - $200,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
