Seeking a dynamic and experienced Healthcare Business Development Manager to join our growing team

Role Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare sector 
  • Will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and industry partners 
  • This individual must be an experienced business development manager who can partner with multiple departments and outside entities to drive measurable results that benefit our business and our community to improve health outcomes, enhance patient experiences, increase revenues and reduce costs 
  • This individual must be able to implement an effective approach that expands our reach, strengthens client relationships, and helps fulfill the UHH mission 
  • Responsible to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Will create business plans and strategies with organizational leaders 
  • Will be responsible for cultivating strategic business partnerships 
  • The Director of Business Development will report to the V.P. of Operations (COO) 
  • Meets patients, physicians, staff and organizational needs by partnering with necessary parties to manage UHH business development 
  • Uses constructive leadership skills to assist UHH in fulfilling the hospital’s mission and meet established annual and long term objectives 
  • Will actively seek out other business opportunities that can boost revenue and set UHH apart 
  • Identify strategies for business growth and assist in the growths execution 
  • Represent Upland Hills Health positively in community relations and external interactions 
  • Maintain professional conduct and adhere to organizational policies and regulatory requirements 
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities and progress 
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to parties related to the business development activities in progress
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or other closely related field and/or past professional experiences) is required; Master's Degree would be beneficial 
  • At least seven years of professional work experience in business development, preferably in the healthcare industry 
  • Proven prior track record of driving business growth and forming strategic partnerships, some sales experiences would be beneficial also 
  • Must have a very in-depth knowledge and understanding of the healthcare market, including trends, challenges and opportunities 
  • Have outstanding market research and analytical skills with the ability to have Big Picture Thinking 
  • Have had a strong background with negotiation skills, business intelligence and networking with other entities and people 
  • Communications and relationship building with political leaders 
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills 
  • Ability to foster good working relationships at all organizational levels 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competence in healthcare operations and financial management 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications
