Cambria is seeking a highly experienced, hands-on leader to guide the brand’s internal communications function as Director, Internal Communications. The role will be responsible for developing strategic, integrated marketing campaigns and content to educate and inspire our employees. The Director will have the opportunity to concept, develop, write, and manage all internal communications in close cooperation with the business and functional content owners across all levels of our organization.

This role requires an impeccable, detail-oriented marketer with a strong background working across company departments, and the ability to manage projects independently and guide creative production. As part of the Internal Communications & Philanthropy team, this role will also support the marketing and execution of our CambriaCares corporate philanthropic efforts, and report into the Senior Director, Internal Communications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the Senior Director, Internal Communications, develop and implement an advanced internal communications strategy to drive employee engagement and build brand reputation internally. 
  • Own the internal communications editorial calendar, organizing storytelling moments and orchestrating content distribution across various platforms to ensure our company strategy and narrative is understood across the company. 
  • Serve as a key liaison with all departments, owning regular meetings with all functional stakeholders in order to understand their communications needs and timelines, and provide solutions and/or best practices. 
  • Conceptualize and oversee the execution of robust internal communications campaigns to inform, inspire and engage our employees, ensuring they have the information they need to be successful. 
  • Own and oversee all internal communications channels, including but not limited to intranet, screens, Slack, email, and physical asset channels. 
  • Serve as the chief editor, ensuring creative, meaningful, accurate and consistent messaging across all internal channels at the right time. 
  • Ensure the effective management of stakeholder requests, project assignments, content review processes and deadlines. 
  • Provide guidance and direction for the creation of captivating, on-brand print, digital, and video content that resonates with our employee audience. 
  • Create, review, and/or edit all written and visual content for Cambria’s internal communications platforms. 
  • Represent the internal communications POV during omnichannel planning to ensure a cohesive and compelling brand narrative across our full brand ecosystem. 
  • Lead social media employee advocacy efforts, and manage vendor relationships. 
  • Organize and execute an ongoing calendar of physical events in support of employee engagement, including but not limited to events in support of new design launches, town halls, brand relevant holidays, etc. 
  • Collaborate with other internal content publishers, like Social Media and Public Relations, within the company. 
  • Serve as an extension of Cambria’s CambriaCares philanthropy team, supporting the execution and communication of community and enterprise philanthropy programs. 
  • Regularly monitor industry trends to ensure an industry-leading employee engagement strategy. 
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve optimal impact and provide regular reports to leadership. 
  • Other communication assignments as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and executing successful internal communications strategies and campaigns that drive engagement and alignment. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences. 
  • Proven ability to interface with executives and staff at all levels in an organization 
  • Highly-organized, motivated self-starter with innate ability to effectively manage time and prioritize workload. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with continuous change 
  • Ability to work independently but also as a member of a team. 
  • Proficiency in digital communications tools and platforms, including intranet systems, screens platforms, and content management systems. 
  • Experience working in a corporate environment, preferably within a large organization with complex stakeholder groups. 
  • Must submit writing samples/complete a writing assignment as part of the application process. 
  • Experience managing and developing a team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field 
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years leading corporate or internal communications for a mid to large size company
  • Systems: GoogleSuite, MicrosoftSuite, WordPress, basics of Adobe Products, Content Management Systems, ProductionTools.
