The Director, Digital Marketing will create, lead, and execute the digital transformation of HHT marketing capabilities and user experience of our B2B and B2C customers, focused on evolving all digital experiences to be more intuitive, personalized, intelligent and effective in driving business growth for the Hearth & Home Technologies (HHT) Fireplace Business Unit. Primary ownership includes overseeing national brand marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, demand generation planning, media agency relationships, influencer partnerships, press releases and marketing operations including e-mail automation and project management. This role will be a key member of the marketing leadership team, working closely with all functional marketing teams.

We are looking for a skilled digital marketer who has a sense of curiosity, strong critical thinking and collaboration skills to define, create and lead a digitally driven performance marketing team. This includes a heavy focus on email marketing, content marketing and innovative initiatives that focus on customer acquisition, retention and reactivation across all digital channels and consumer segments.This role will serve as the primary owner of growth-oriented initiatives (digital campaigns, site optimization, funnel optimization) that drive short and long-term revenue goals.

What you will do:

  • Develop and execute a digital marketing strategy that aligns with customer needs and accelerates the growth of HHT. Communicate and evangelize the plan and results to business unit leadership, Senior Leadership Team, and cross functional teams to align goals and priorities. 
  • Collaborate with teams across the business to generate innovative digital solutions for products, services, processes, customer experiences, marketing channels, and segments. 
  • Leverage our digital platforms and ecosystems to create industry-leading digital experiences that are intuitive, personalized, intelligent, and effective in driving business results, increasing customer acquisition, and driving customer loyalty. 
  • Manage all strategy and implementation for Website(s) design and functionality. 
  • Develop demand campaigns based on go-to-market plans and marketing best practices. Determine campaign objectives, strategies and tactics including marketing channels, testing plans, metrics, dependencies, timelines and budget requirements. 
  • Drive customers and end consumers through a digital decision journey for B2B and B2C experiences while effectively capturing, nurturing, and qualifying leads. 
  • Own consumer lifecycle marketing from awareness to acquisition to retention. Work closely with digital team and partners to implement all web content, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and paid media campaigns. 
  • In partnership with brand leadership, establish key marketing KPIs and understand underlying drivers to build out strategy and identify new opportunities; build processes for tracking, measuring and reporting results. Analyze campaign effectiveness to optimize marketing spend and improve efficiencies. 
  • Lead development of inbound and outbound digital marketing strategies, tactical plans and activities, content strategies, and measurement, supporting sales pipeline and digital marketing objectives. Continuously assess and improve processes as needed. 
  • Manage advertising budget and optimized spending across crucial acquisition channels, including paid search, organic search, paid social, etc. 
  • Lead a digital marketing team responsible for web experience, digital operations, demand gen, paid media, search optimization, marketing automation, and email. 
  • Manage agency relationships to ensure adequate media spending and demand generation programs, continually optimizing and testing new methods and platforms. 
  • Develop and implement lead follow-up process for all campaigns.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 10 or more years of marketing programs experience, with a focus on omni-channel digital marketing management 
  • 5 or more years of direct management/team leadership experience in the digital space 
  • CRM and marketing automation, Salesforce.com preferred 
  • Demonstrated experience developing new process and feedback loops across the digital stack 
  • Clear understanding and knowledge of website analytics tools (Google Analytics) 
  • Proven expertise in UI/UX, mobile experience optimization, SEO (on-page and technical), conversion rate optimization, customer journey mapping, digital advertising, and digital marketing strategy development 
  • Experience with 3rd party tools for site merchandising, reporting, A/B testing, email/marketing automation, and customer data 
  • Customer insights driven with experience understanding tools such as voice of the customer, customer journeys and path to purchase to develop novel digital marketing strategy and campaign approaches 
  • Analytical mindset with ability to define, track and report on leading campaign performance metrics and ROI. 
  • Proven ability to drive change, influence stakeholders and manage budgets. 
  • Excellent written, oral, and group presentation skills, including the ability to articulate solutions in many formats so that they are consumable by executive leaders, development teams, business stakeholders, and audiences external to HHT.
