Wings Financial Credit Union has a unique opportunity to join the Digital Marketing team at one of Minnesota’s largest financial institutions as well as its largest credit union. This position is full of opportunity for the right individual who is passionate about digital marketing and playing a key role in shaping Wings’ digital brand presence through video, digital content, online and mobile services, and social media. This individual will also drive use and adoption of Wings’ digital services through marketing promotions. Additionally, this position will leverage analytics for reporting and determining the success of these programs.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Digital Marketing Specialist will create and implement programs to drive adoption and use of Wings Financial’s mobile and online services and social media presence. By representing Wings’ marketing department as a mentor and expert in digital marketing on cross-functional teams/projects, this position will have decision making authority on our digital direction and content. This position will be responsible for efficiently developing Wings online products and presence through the use of digital media and video editing software, visual communication skills, and online/social media engagement. This position will own the creative development of video, media, other visual content, and digital marketing analytics to increase visibility and engagement with Wings’ digital brand. Must be able to work independently or with little to no direction and be comfortable making decisions on creative direction and content.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following:

  • With all projects the individual will maintain focus on the credit union’s objectives and brand strategy as well as department goals and needs of Wings’ target audiences.
  • Plan and implement marketing promotions to drive awareness and adoption of Wings’ digital services and social media.
  • Create and manage digital media strategies and plans – coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather and interpret information to marketing partners to facilitate planned campaign initiatives.
  • Create and integrate digital content and video to support corporate and marketing strategies and tactics, including brand and product awareness/usage initiatives.
  • Updates the Wings Financial corporate website, which requires some knowledge of HTML, CSS, content management systems and other current programming skills.
  • Research, recommend and implement digital product and social media enhancements that align with Wings strategies and target audiences.
  • Track, report and analyze digital product marketing activity to measure success and drive creative and development decisions.
  • Analyze, develop and manage best practices for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) / Search Engine Marketing (SEM) activities.
  • Develops and implements promotional material and messaging to drive use, adoption and understanding of Wings digital services.
  • Develops and implements social media strategies, participation and inclusion of any current and future social medial opportunities.
  • Oversees and actively administers all Wings social media and location based sites, content and conversations to include actively reporting and managing Wings’ reputation.
  • Research and implement digital advertising to drive ecommerce usage and adoption.
  • Engages with Wings members and prospective members through all social media channels in a timely manner.
  • Compile, track, analyze and communicate weekly email and other digital campaign reports.
  • Create engaging on-brand digital signage and ATM advertising
  • Prepare graphics or other visual representations of information for internal and external use.
  • Research and stay current with trends in IT, social media, and digital marketing
  • Manage timeliness, cost-effectiveness and quality of third-party vendors used to fulfill digital marketing goals.
  • Establish and manage budgets for all projects.
  • Prepare reports, proposals, and digital content for use by credit union management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Four years of college, preferably in digital marketing or related field; financial institution background preferred, minimum 5 years experience is required.
  • Good organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Good verbal skills; strong writing skills (excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation and word usage).
  • Familiarity with Windows and an understanding of Apple and Android systems and general digital programming concepts, proficiency in several or more of the following: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, InfoPath, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Internet browsing software. Prefer broad knowledge of HTML, CSS, and online content management systems.
