The Digital Marketing Manager is a critical member of the Communications and Design department at the Building for Kids Children’s Museum, helping to tell the story of the BFK’s mission and promote the museum’s opportunities. This role will support all aspects of communications, marketing, and design with a special emphasis on developing, implementing, and evaluating digital campaigns.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Communications and Design department in building a strategy and raising awareness for and promoting the work of the Building for Kids 
  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across a variety of channels, including email, social media, display advertising, and the organization’s website 
  • Utilize CRM data to create targeted emailing campaigns to promote opportunities offered by the museum 
  • Create and implement SEO strategies to increase website traffic 
  • Collaborate with internal partners and manage external agencies and contractors 
  • Manage the organization’s social media platforms and social media ads 
  • Capture photo and video around the museum for promotional purposes 
  • Evaluate trends, emerging technologies, and analytics to educate the museum’s digital marketing strategies 
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and make adjustments accordingly 
  • Assist in the creation of print materials, graphic design, internal communications, and outreach events as needed 
  • Other duties as assigned

Core Competencies & Experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines 
  • Experience with managing digital marketing campaigns (email, social media, digital advertising, etc.) 
  • Experience with Word Press, SEO, and SEM 
  • Knowledge of social media platforms 
  • Available for occasional evenings or weekends as needed

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time, hourly position at $20 - $23/hour. Full-time benefits include 12 days of vacation, 10 days for sick/care, health insurance, short/long term disability, life insurance, Simple IRA and 3% match.
