Bellacor.com Inc., a widely recognized results-oriented specialty internet retailer focused on lighting, décor and furniture, is seeking a Digital Designer.

Ideal Candidate:

This position requires a digital designer background with 3-5 years of professional design experience in an agency or multi-faceted team setting. Experience with female driven brands within home furnishings, fashion or cosmetics industries is preferred. Must be a creative thinker who is able to work independently and collaboratively with other members. He/she will possess a deep understanding of digital design and UX and show a strong professional trajectory with exceptional and continually evolving design skills that highlight execution.

Strong preference will be given to candidates with proven design experience with a consumer facing and e-commerce background, as well as content marketing and SEO design related experience. Passion for the home is plus.

Job Purpose:

As a Digital Designer of Bellacor/BellacorPro.com, you will be an important contributor in guiding both branding and creative development and carrying that vision through to production. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and producing high-quality creative work across a variety of customer digital touch points - desktop & mobile, e-mail, web content, social media and advertising to create a inspirational experience for the target audience.

What You'll Do:

  • Translate brand identity design of catalog to web presence (home page, category pages, content pages, product detail pages, site banners & promotions, checkout), and promotional presence (e-mail, static and dynamic advertisements) developing all required assets 
  • Leverage visual toolkit of brand identity elements and draw brand book through to web (logo usage, type toolkit, visual element etc.) 
  • Create visually compelling graphics/content that will be used in content marketing initiatives 
  • Ensure visual consistency of customer experience and brand voice across various touch points (site, email campaigns, web content, social media, banners, etc.) 
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Merchandising teams to execute design concepts that deliver on goals, and are technically feasible to implement 
  • Conceptualize and create design mockups for e-commerce web pages, banners, and e-mail from sketches, wireframes, creative briefs, and at times without guidance. 
  • Manage time effectively, and work on multiple project timelines simultaneously in a demanding deadline-driven environment 
  • Communicate ideas and concepts clearly and concisely, while also being open to receiving feedback and direction as needed 
  • Oversee freelance designers who we may use from time to time (milestones and creative oversight & guidance) 
  • Act as a key contributor to the rapid brand development of a business that is defining and refining aspirational buying for the home 
  • Approximate breakdown of workload: 50% Production, 30% Special projects and Art Direction (branding, style guides, UX/UI, print) 20% Content/blog creative; 85% Digital, 15% Print/other 
  • Perform special projects as needed

What You'll Need:

  • Fluency in all areas of visual design with exceptional skills in font usage, typography and layout 
  • Experience in a PC environment 
  • Experience with visually rich brands - use of lush imagery in home lifestyle, fashion, automotive, luxury or other highly refined brands in your portfolio will be viewed very positively 
  • UX/UI familiarity 
  • Illustration experience a plus 
  • Be a self-starter, well rounded in design 
  • HTML experience a plus
